Doug, you always talk about how it is ok to take certain actions (raise etc) "once in a while" - how do you keep track of the "once in whiles" to ensure you aren't doing it too often?
@alejandroromero55117 жыл бұрын
Mr Harrington told us: if you need a randomizing tool, use the second hand of your watch. If you need to bluff 33% of the time, you do as follows: when you need to make a choice, see your second hand. If it is between 0 and 40 seconds, play straightforward. If it is between 41 and 60, bluff.
@johnyates13767 жыл бұрын
The way I frequent select is with blockers because you won't play a large enough hand sample against many players to become exploitable in close spots. So use blockers to frequency select or info on players, like if it's the table nit you can fold or if it's the manic then call then your frequencies will balance out without having a too complex strategy
@jc6247 жыл бұрын
you can use suits to randomize it. like if I want to bluff at a 25% frequency I would just turn all hands with a club into a bluff and give up on the rest. and so on.

Doug? If your at the early stages of a tournament and your dealt 99 in the high jack, then after the flop its 9 KK. Then you raise 6K and your opponent raises all in, would you call? The reason im asking is i was in a wsop tournament and i called his all in and he hit a fish hook on the river. Is that a cooler.

OR just pick a player and PLAY HIS HOLE cards, without you knowing the other player hole cards. But us that watch your video should still see both palyers hole cards, just to see how valid your advice really is. As far as I can tell, poker is just a guessing game and knowing all your 'rules'once the cards are shuffled, the rules are worthless.

When you get called allin at a tournament while with 20bbs with 23, by someone you marked as tag, you know its rigged. (a)Some people ofcourse run ok just to keep the scam going on and have them posting that its all fine and they win, (b)others run better, winning like 85% of coinflips, like promoters from twitch and shit and (c) 99% not only run terrible but get scammed too by staff accounts that either see the hole cards or know the outcome. It is fucking obvious this shit is rigged and i expect the shills from (a) and (b) post their usual garbage.

@1chance4life767 жыл бұрын
well he kinda asked for it when he called the flop with flush draw and paired board, then bets out on the turn, guess when you have Iveys money you jus play however you feel like playing, stuborn play if you ask me, then again Gus could have as much bluffing hands as made winning hands on the river, but maybe if Ivey plays the river slower then checks Gus might jus check back who knows, id honestly prob fold the flop to avoid long term tough spots and big losses against flushes and houses
@1chance4life767 жыл бұрын
either check fold to 9k on the flop or lead out for a smaller bet like 5k to control the pot and fold to most raises but prob jus check fold the flop
@1chance4life767 жыл бұрын
leading out for 25k on the turn..hmm guess flush draws might call but shit paired board might lean draws to a fold, 25k bet out i jus dont see the logic there

Doug... I really like the bulk part of your videos... But... Who are your audience (in this type of videos)? Honestly Isn't it a bit to long, winding, reasoning to reach a fairly simple point in this one and the other similar ones?!.) That´s my opinion anyway and I guess It´s the same for any player who have played for a couple of years?!. It´s way more interesting to here your toughs about a hand you have played in yourself. In those ones you can talk for hours for all I care. Here (in this video) It´s fairly obvious where you are going (What you are going to say) and therefor quite boring. in the long run. Sorry. Liked the video anyway and love most of the others. :-)

I think this is the 2nd hand in a row where you miss the stack sizes, in the one vs Koon you were debating if you should raise river bigger, but you essentially put Koon allin (he had 2k left after your raise). Here, Gus has less than pot size bet after calling the turn, surely you are not advocating raising the turn with this stack size? Other than that, good job as always :)
