Well that's my childhood. I use to go in there for free with my dad. I see they added some new stuff. Cool.

I grew up in New Orleans I remember visiting Story Land at the New Orleans city park when I was a very little kid in the late 1960s and early 70s. I was just there last December 2016 and was amazed that hasn't changed much in 50 years. But I do remember in the late 60s in the mouth of the big whale there used to be a fish tank with goldfish in it not the fishtail you see today.

David Zoller oh yeah I was looking up old Fairy tale theme parks(I love fairy tales, folk tales, urban legends, mythology) and I remember seeing old pictures of this place including the fish tank.

There used to be one in Atlanta when I was little. We went for a field trip about 1970. It's long gone, but the story lines and the characters look the same. How cool! Thanks for sharing this.

We had passed by this place during our stay in New Orleans and regretted not being able to check it out. This looks like it would have been a fun little stop in our day, so we'll definitely need to hit it up whenever we go back.

It is amazing how many places had this. We had one here in Western Washington. At Point Defiance Park. The removed the last of the art a couple of years ago. Sad when I went there as a school field trip in the 80s.

This reminds me of Storybook Forest in Idlewild Park! It's located in PA, and while it's only a part of a larger park, it's still kept in good working order even to this day.

I can tell you two of these type of parks that I don't think you've gone to yet, one is Storybook Land in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (has some hilarious/terrifying doll and taxidermy scenes in the buildings) and the other is Enchanted Forest in Turner, Oregon (sporadic in how maintained it is but has a lot of unique things and a pretty interesting story behind it and a spectacular landscape honestly, being mountainside)

As a kid, I always wanted to go to Storybook Forest in PA, but never got the chance. But my son went to Children's Fairyland in Oakland when he was little, so that's okay. A generation late will have to do. At least I made it to Kennywood Park outside of Pittsburgh when they still had the scary old Noah's Ark. That Mother Goose hanging from chains was kinda freaky looking.
