We have a 52 year old 4 bay double double slatted shed, not unlike that one there. On its 3rd set of slats! First set were all homemade singles and 15 years they lasted. The penning was cables, that wasn’t a good idea as cattle got caught up in them and soon after converted to gates. Did a big repair on the roof last year with second hand sheets. Triggers brush comes to mind 😊

Looks great Phil just needs Comfort Slat Mats on top now and it will look mighty! Could dig out below the tank on the far wall where the water is coming in that would stop the flow but couldnt drive out that end of the shed.

Phil Google sikadur. It's a building product you might need to order it but I'd say it will work in that tank where the water is seeping in, as far as I remember you can use it in masonry and mass concrete. Would you consider a French drain around the shed at least on the worst side of the shed as a test. I know it's a rented shed and you have to weigh up the cost

Some of the water ingress is from the back wall, you are missing guttering and the ivy growth is then catching this water and deflecting it down the wall. At the very least strip the ivy off but better still sort the guttering.

@dgmxm175 The hydradig was caught for room maneuvering the short slat. With a long slat you're either going to have to knock the gable wall and use a forklift or take off the whole roof and use a crane. Expensive work on a rented shed. Also maybe the owner doesn't want that kind of destruction

Less talk more action as that’s the first video I’ve skipped through as the information is being constantly repeated. Tom Pemberton, Baldys farm and 10th generation dairyman are clear, concise and to the point. Really enjoyed your journey and all that goes on and I know the Irish are legendary for their chat but if it makes a shorter video with less of it in then that’s fine. Please know that this comes from a genuine place and not to criticise to pull you down.
