I may be in the minority, but the Scorchers Maelstrom is definitely my favorite. The World Race video game was one of my favorite games when I was growing up. I played it so much, and there were a lot of models in the game that were different from the movie (not really sure why they did that). To see one of those models from the game come to life is honestly amazing. I didn’t think we’d ever see customs inspired by the game.

The reason they had different cars in the game is that they didnt have in the movies is they didnt have the licensing to use the real cars (corvette, chrysler, roadrunner, rsc, etc) in the game. So they had to replace them

I'm kinda curious how he gets the custom windows. Reverb only ever came with clear once and it's not the easiest to get ahold of, doubt it's a gutted one of those with dyed windows. Wonder how much a commission of that would cost.

Yes! I used the reverb with the clear windshield, which is ridiculously rare, and tinted it that magenta/purple color. Tinting it isn’t super difficult since it’s relatively flat, it’s just expensive because that exact casting is almost non-existent

@@Metrometrics_ Quite a few Vertical Velocity 5 packs on eBay for not that much money, plus you get a whole Reverb too. $15~ for the 5 pack and whatever for the Spine Buster. Might hit you up for one sometime, dunno if I'll ever get both the light and dark Reverbs, but trying to 100% them alongside the Hypertruck, and although the Acceleron Reverb was never officially produced, it was a thought and one does exist.

The ballistic could be a possible reference to what really happened to banjee Castillo after the world race. This could explain that his death (which was mentioned by Lani) is fake. And it could stick great with the plot that many highway 35 racers ended up against Dr tesla (as he stole the technology which was used by the silencerz) so yes this custom makes sense!!

Yes, there were a number of people that suggested to me the Acceleron Reverb, but I didn’t even think I could make one until recently. I apologize if I didn’t get back to you! I try my best to at least respond to customers but I kinda lose track sometimes because I’m communicating over like four different platforms. Acceleron Reverb is a very difficult car to make because finding the correct casting for it with the right color windshield is so rare. And yes, the wheels are really expensive.
