Back in the '80s we had animatronic animals that looked just like these suits in the Showbiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese's gameroom restaurants, and they were probably made of the same materials. When the business model eventually failed, the excess animal suits were sold off to various independent businesses around the world to program the animatronics as they saw fit. They worked for a time, but over the decades they have largely broken down, without a supply of spare parts for repairs. People have visited/broken into some of these old businesses in recent years, and often the old animatronics have been found, left behind. Or rather, what is left of them has been found. Rubber animal suits of approx the same age as the old Mikey suit, but without the TLC that that one probably got, have aged, been exposed to the elements as buildings decay, and been vandalized. They are like puppet undead, eerily smiling as if nothing were wrong, as if they were inviting you to come over and make a song request, or even sit on their laps, as their snouts sag, or their eyeballs hang out, or their crooked spines stand diagonally to the floor. The animatronic suits kinda violated the uncanny valley back when they were fully animated and new. But now, rotten and damaged, they set off inner alarms and warnings instantly. Y'all can have all the old rubber animal suits you want. I like my sleep and my sanity.

The grandmaster at my karate school played Leonardo (the body, not the voice). It's kum sung karate, we have pics in the back room. Pretty cool.
