so overrated in my opinion. Its too easy even on hard difficulties, the plot is written so poorly, every Disney world is filler, it lacks any exploration, platforming, or puzzles that gave the first game its charm an its level design is so flat and boring. Its a dumbed down Devil May Cry hack n slash game with a plot that disregards its Disney elements for pleasing the shonen jump deviant art reject fans that are obsessed with the Organization members. I still have a lot of nostalgia for it but I think the original Kingdom Hearts and BBS are so much better.

This is a really great list! The PS2 truly was a fantastic console that had a wide variety of fun games to play. I'm more of an RPG lover, myself, so it was right up my alley! Some of my favorite titles herald from the Playstation 2. To be honest, this was sort of the last generation of gaming systems that really moved me and stirred my soul. The PS2, Dreamcast, and Gamecube were all just phenomenal! So many fond memories!

I agree. The 6th generation consoles were by far the best. They were the last generation of real game consoles in my opinion, the 7th and 8th being just glorified computers. I love my ps3, mind you, but I think that the market has long since lost it's definition.

I'd go with GTA Vice City as my favorite. Yes, San Andreas had more stuff to do and had a huge open world, but Vice City was the first one I played and the atmosphere and the radio which picked the best songs from the 80's is amazing.

For me, in no particular order: Psychonauts, Metal Gear Solid 3, Bully, Soulcalibur 2, Beyond Good and Evil, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill 3, Gta Sa, Scarface, Urban Chaos, Max Payne 2, Burnout 3, The Punisher, Shadow of the Colossus and Star Wars Battlefront 2. Cant think of any other, but i think those are the ones i played and loved the most. I forgot God of War.

KH2's okay. Honestly, I liked having to be strategic in KH1 by selecting only certain abilities to go into battle with. KH2 was simplified to "use your final transformations and go nuts." With that too, a lot of the challenge was removed.

One of my all time favorite games on PS2 is Dark Cloud, its a very simple dungeon crawler game, it was designed well and had an epic story, but it's an extremely rare game to find, thankfully I have 2 copies of it. It will always be up there for me......with MGS.

there's Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on the PS1, Klonoa: Moonlight Museum on the Wonderswan, Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil on the PS2, Klonoa: Empire of Dreams on the GBA, Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament on the GBA, Klonoa Beach Volleyball on the PS1, and Klonoa Heroes: Legend of the Star Medal on the GBA. Both Empire of Dreams and Dream Champ Tournament are available for virtual console on the Wii U. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I really don't think Lunatea's Veil is as good as Door to Phantomile, much less surpasses it as everyone says it does. But, since the majority of people seem to like it, you might as well emulate it and give it a go. All I can suggest is that you give the first game a go, as well.

I'm so bad with lists because I never really know how bad I like something more than others, so here we go 10. Gradius 5 - I really love shoot em ups but this takes the cake IMO with excellent bosses, level design and Soundtrack. 9. Red Faction - This was probably my favorite PS2 FPS of all time, the atmosphere was great, the amount of weapons and destruction was excellent and the story was pretty good. (haven't played sequel though) 8. Everywhere Roadtrip ( or Roadtrip Adventure) Amazing idea for a game, an open world racing game with your cars actually being people who you can talk to, lots of customization and many other things to do in the game besides racing. 7. Psychonauts - Really fun open world 3D platformer with funny characters, creative bosses and lots of quirkiness. But the difficulty spike near the end sucks. 6. Pitfall The Lost Expedition - Really fun and memorable 3D platformer for me with an Uncharted (without guns) feel to it. 5. Silent Hill 2 - Scary as fuck, spooky atmosphere and excellent job at the amount of bullets and health found in the game to not make you feel like you're getting a large amount but at the same time keep you from running out. 4. Ratchet & Clank 2 - I played this more recently but I still have fond memories of it, a HUGE step up from the original, lots of weapons, leveling system, ship battles and arena battles. And even better combat. 3. Tony Hawks Underground - My favorite skate boarding game, the customization and the skate parks you built were really cool, a suprisingly good story and many unique locations. 2. Theme Park Rollercoaster - Again a good childhood memory of mine, not a huge improvement off the first one but I enjoyed building a park full of rides, shops, ect. 1. either Sly 1 or 3 - Sly 1 had the best OST for me and an excellent form of linear platforming that I personally think it's tough to rival, Sly 3 because it has the better acting and the feeling of having a huge crew really helped me enjoy it. There are a ton of other games I wish I could include but as I said I could change my mind. Besides my PS2 broke a while back so I can't play a lot of PS2 games nowadays unless they are released on the PS store, (which some of these aren't :(, I really wish to play them again).

The first PS2 game and first video games i ever played was Sea monsters a prehistoric adventure. It took me a long time to get the controls down, and i watched a lot of sea monster movies, and other prehistoric videos as a little kid, so I was really satisfied with the game.

absolutezero1000 p3s ai isnt so bad really just set everyone to knock down and your healer (yukari) to heal support i actually have a better time with that ai than p4golden and if you really cant stand it no worries in p3 your level carries over in new game plus and at lv 99 you get 999 hp/sp so you wont rely on your party past playthrough 1 but golden still retroactively ruined 3 for me cus you cant pic inherited moves in fusion on 3 meaning if you want a certain set you have to hit fuse then back over and over untill you get most of what you want lol

iota-09 I have played Nier, and it's one of my favorite PS3 games, as is Drakengard 3. As for the music in Ico, I can't really comment too much on it, since I haven't played much of it.

Dark Mountain Productions you mean you didn't play much nier? too bad, it's such a great game, it has the best ost of any game i ever played(although it fights with teeth against mgs 1 and 2) i heard so many times every nier song that i could do nothing but make the connection between the ico song caddy made us listen and nier songs such as emil or snow in summer. p.s.: and also the roaming songs such as hills of radiant winds and city of commerce.

Kingdom Hearts is my all-time favorite game. It was the first fully 3D game I've ever played, contained my favorite Disney characters, and had one of the most relatable characters I've seen in a video game. The graphics were great, the combat simple yet challenging, and the music absolutely beautiful. I also loved YuGiOh: Duelists of the Roses. I loved YuGiOh as a kid, but no one else played it in my school, so to play a YuGiOh game with a computer was amazing. On top of that, the models were amazing, the battles were extremely strategic, and the music and sound effects were amazing.
