You could plug in a modern game console or PC with an HDMI to RCA or RF adapter. Just make sure if you're using a PC, scale up using display scaling not resolution if possible, and your GPU driver or OS should come with overscan configuration. Rokus should work good since they are made with big text and up until 2 years ago they still sold composite models, but not youll need an adapter.

Nothing lasts forever but your TV is going to be completely obsolete whenever ATSC 3.0 rolls out in your area. Not to worry because AT&T 1.0 will remain in most areas for a long time. The reason is because they're having trouble trying to convert over and it's just in the early stages. I mean it's going to get so bad that even some HDTV's won't work because you need to have an ATSC 3.0 tuner. But that's for another day I'm just saying that eventually you won't be able to pick up any signals.

@UncleMikeRetro5 ай бұрын

@evansullivanrichgels55313 ай бұрын
I’ve never experimented with it which is why I don’t know but I wonder if you used an Rf modulator for your companies cable box and plugged it into your vcr’s coaxial cable input, most likely you would have to set it to channel 3. Would you be able to record shows on VHS tapes. This works with any antenna with a set too box if you take the rca out of the set too box and put it to one of the inputs on your VCR, however if you’re using a company cable box many times you won’t be able to replicate the same because they have macrovision protection which prevents your VCR from being able to store the data displayed onto a VHS. But an rf modulator might work. Fun experiment for anybody who has too much time on their hands.

@@UncleMikeRetro You can also extend your own lifetime by eating healty, exercise if not moving a lot at work, and living well with good habits. So I don't view life like it has a set time in how long it gonna exactly last, because if so we would've been able to predict everythings death with 100% accuracy and never be wrong, and be totally unable to prevent it. Some people gets the chance to see their 100 years of age, whereas some don't even pass 30. So life is totally random and all dependent on the individual and background. As said before, nothing will last forever, but can always last longer.

@@UncleMikeRetro Also about being able to repair stuff, is a skill everyone with a deep technical interest and years of practicing can achive if they really want to. It only matters on what they spend their time for. I did this for fun in the past, now I do it because I live on it and need to, and it's a neverending job as there is always something to fix, and the pay is decent. The more I learn from the job, the less effort it takes to get it done and it becomes more as easy money. I can already tell that some computer parts made in the 1970's til early 2000's are much more worth as whole and working, than the amount of gold it contains, and can earn you 3-4 digits $ for a single part.

@@UncleMikeRetro they're trying to make us more dependent on them, changing things in such a way to try to obsolete the things we had. For example light bulbs,the filament was made in a way to last forever,but because ppl only bought one,sales went down so they started to make the filaments thinner and whit lower grade materials,so that we had to by more. Another example plastic,we are hostages of plastic,the world doesn't work whit out plastic,the world as we know comes to an end,every thing uses plastic from our phones ,credit cards,cars,bikes,airplanes computers,trafic signs,shoes ,clothes,etc...

True and true. The only issue with the computer monitor is of course sound. On most monitors anyway. Thanks for the comment!
