No, they actually wouldn't fit the stylization in the least. Dr. Suess's characters usually had more complex shapes and a lot of detail lines, whereas the Tweenies are very simple in design(not even an insult, as easy as it would be, because they're puppets designed for kids who can't really take too much visual complexity in).

I have super vague memories of watching this when I was like, 3. I do remember the scene with the “Tweenie clock”, which I always thought was just a big flower or something. Didn’t even know what it was called until literally yesterday when I stumbled upon a picture of the show on Reddit, and even then it was only the characters appearances that invoked that “deja vu” feeling and inspired me to look it up and see if I remembered the show right.
