I get why people are upset by the rug, but honestly, I like it that way. It makes the room feel more lived in to me, like the folds are in a person's favorite spot to lie on the floor and read a book and they got up to get a snack or do something, and its waiting for them to get back.

I don't know why everything dark or victorian is associated with darkness or ghosts. I find this room to be absolutely gorgeous, and besides look at the evil that occurs today. These modern homes would be filled with spirits. I feel older homes get such a bad rap. These were families that lived in these beautiful homes.

I prefer night to day and darkness to light, people think I'm weird but in reality I'm depressed, the darkness makes me justify my depression, I've lost interest in things I used to love doing, it kind of started after my mother passed away ten years ago, she however became afflicted with dementia which led to Alzheimer's and passed away at 91 years of age.
