What is the brand and scent of artisan soap and aftershave you are using?

Nice comparison shave Johan ... I agree : Yes we can still shave with the old traditional soaps & creams (and I do quite often), they give us a sense of history and yes modern Artisan soaps enhance the lather performance and aftershave experience for the modern Wet shaver.👍🤠🤟

That's a very good summary

Nice comparison shave Johan! You might feel more of a difference between the two using a DE, but you'll probably still like the artisan more 😎👍 Have a good one! Steve

Hey Steve. I feel it's less important when I use a DE.

A nice shave and comparison. I don’t really have many legacy soaps yet, mostly use artisan soaps now and even than I stick with a small handful of brands, they have everything I could ever want in regards to slickness, performance and post shave feel. Have a good one Johan!

You are right, one probably doesn't need a hundred soaps...or?

@@Shave_n_Butcher I still need a hundred soaps… gotta have all those nice scents!

Nice vid. Agreed that artisans is a bit better. Better post shave when dry out and residual slickness however the classics have their place and work. Tobs Jermyn st is just a great scent. I like the look of that razor. Take care.

No Areffa soaps here (yet) so I cannot compare them with the TOBS I've got - very much classic scents: Sandalwood (as soap), rose, lavender, and royal forest (creams). I did have an almond-scented cream but the scent died on me after about a year; maybe it was too subtle, maybe it's my nose. I don't have TOBS's grapefruit but maybe the Master Soap Creations Grapefruit Zest will do?

"How much better" implied some level of rigorous evaluation with qualitative detailed analysis and a careful methodology which was thankfully lacking, given who needs that when one is trying to chill out and watch a video after a long day! 😂
