shadows new school is great. But IMO if you really have a taste for cars, fashion or even music. Old school is the way to go. What many kids dont understand is that their new school shit that they think is so much better wouldn’t even have existed if it wasn’t for old school. Gotta respect that
@rowadchaara84493 жыл бұрын
shadows i also like most of the new school ones but the way i see it you just cant prefer new shit without respecting the roots. I totally agree on the new muscle cars being too fat. Like with the new challenger the bumpers/sideskirts are too low. Cant even drive over the edge of a sidewalk properly. Its better imo to have the car lifted off the ground a little if you know what i mean. And i cant imagine new muscle cars taking the abuse the ones in all the 60s/70s car chases took for example bullit. I like the glossy paint with the beautiful chrome. Just gives me a feeling no new muscle car can give. All these kids preferring new ones annoys me (although the majority do also like the old ones)

@@samsquantch14 Probably not, but it all started that way. You would be surprised how small the rouge ford plant was when it started. The idea is to improve on what has been built, (as only humans can do), then you can claim you built that. The Jeweler who makes fantastic jewelry, did not sit on a lump of coal to make a diamond. The cook, who makes the most interesting dishes did not lay the eggs, or combine the wheat in the fields. There is almost no product that man makes today, that does not have roots in former achievements,--but they were still made by somebody and now exist. Could you give credit to the modern cell phone only to AG Bell, or did somebody else take what we have learned from past generations, (again, only humans can do), and build that? You may not believe me now, but your comment comes from marxism, to stifle personal/individual achievement.

@@thermidorlevrai65 I agree, I think the person who video recorded this video favors new cars and only recorded the new cars that won, or had better times. half of the old muscle cars that had bad times weren't running worth a shit. they were missing, spitting, and sputtering, back firing. Im 50 years of age, i was around when street racing was at it's peek, alot of the guys i knew that had hot rods then, had cars that were doing 8s and 9s in a quarter mile. and these guys were back yard mechanics. most of the old classic cars in this vid were barley doing 11s. Newer muscle cars are taking on the same scrutiny just like the muscle cars of the 60s/70s when they were brand new back in those days. People need to realize that you only live once, some prefer the old school muscle cars only and not give the new muscle cars a second glance, same thing can be said about people who just go for the newer muscle only. The best experience is to try out the best of both worlds if and when you can chance. Like I said before you only have one life to live so test out the two different era of muscle cars and to get a birds eye view. Don't no take else's word for it,see it and feel it for yourself.

@ap84095 жыл бұрын
@bigpigslapper Oink Not necessarily. According to what I've found, a stock 1970 Hemi Cuda, 4 spd, 13.10 @ 107mph. A stock 2017 Challenger with 6.4 Hemi (Nat. Aspirated) and 6 spd, 12.6 @ 114. The numbers are close enough so no, there would not be a "spanking." As for "throwing on a supercharger", you are not going to get 840 hp (Demon) out of a 1970 Hemi by just throwing on a supercharger.
@clapanse5 жыл бұрын
Modern N/A engines have the potential to make a lot more power than old ones did. Variable valve timing and lift, computer controlled electronic injection, and modern materials and machining makes it really not even close. The reason it even kind of looks competitive is because the modern engines are much more concerned with drivability, emissions, and fuel economy than the top end motors from the 70s, but if you look at what the really high end modern stuff puts out, it really isn't even close. Even modern carbureted motors are making way more than the old ones thanks to a better understanding of airflow and combustion dynamics and better materials and tolerances. For an extreme example, look how much top fuel dragsters have improved over the past couple decades despite still basically running motors based on the old 426 design. (That having been said, the old stuff looks way cooler than the modern cars. Shame we can't have those shapes back with modern safety regulations)
