Which is why this car was able to make it to production. If you leave it to penny counters decide you'll have another Nissan where besides the GTR there's nothing else that comes to mind.

@austinlogan387 no hate on the Mustang, but Dodge split their muscle car sales through the Challenger, Charger, Durango, TRX, Trackhawk, Chrysler 300, and even the Wrangler 392. They made a muscle car for everyone.

Dodge and Plymouth have dominated the muscle car market and drag strips since 1962 beginning with the Max Wedge cars, Gen II Hemis, Vipers, SRT/10's TRX's and eventually the TrackHawks, Hellcats and Demons.

That is what I liked about it. His giggling every time he pressed the throttle. I'll never own one, but the fact that it exists is enough for me. Shame that some of these will be garage queens and never allowed to stretch their legs or even see a 1/4 mile track.

Tim is definitely the Car Guy's CEO. It was also cool watching Jay chuckle like a little kid every time he mashed on the throttle. He's probably trying to decide whether to spec his out with the passenger seat for his wife or not lol...!! Either way, what an absolute animal. Kudos to Tim and his talented team at Dodge.

I remember buying my 93’ Mustang Foxbody 5.0 and for the time it was a Beast with under 300hp, my first V8 speed demon! Now they speak of 1000+ Horsepower just blows my mind! I think of my 5.0 blasting out the hole in 1st gear pinning you to your seat, screaming through 2nd gear smoke everywhere with taste of burnt rubber on your tongue, and still screeching when you hit 3rd gear at 100+ mph! God, those where the BEST of times! I can ONLY imagine what a dream it is to get to drive this ICONIC “DEMON”! Way to go Mopar, you consistently blow our minds with the innovation!#Dodge#Demon#😈

It is LITERALLY the first factory production car to run the quarter mile under 9 seconds with a certified NHRA time of 8.91 seconds at 152 mph. I mean, I don't know how to dumb it down any further. Tim's passion and knowledge for the automotive world shines through in every word he speaks. It's incredibly refreshing to see a CEO who's not only focused on spreadsheets and numbers, but who genuinely loves the mechanics and thrill of these machines. Dodge has truly hit it out of the park with this one, and Tim's leadership is a big reason for that success. Hats off to Tim and the whole Dodge team for keeping the muscle car spirit alive and well.

Too bad Dodge Stellantis screwed the Brotherhood of Muscle really bad giving the greedy dealership owners the first shot of allocations for this car. Then they either kept for themselves or selling them 100k-250k over msrp sticker. Thanks ALOT Tim. Thanks Alot Dodge! Seeing the CEO show the car with such enthusiasm really makes me happy. The new torque mamangement is super high tech. Love it. The 0-60 should have been 1.666 though.

I haven't seen Jay smile so much from pushing down on the accelerator in a long time, what a torque monster, way to go Dodge. I know that the times are changing with the internal combustion engine demise in the near future, but thanks Dodge for going out with one hell of a muscle car. BTW Jay next time make sure that you put on the 5 point harness... Stay safe.

Definitely a good final way to go out for the challenger always liked how instead of going lighter and sportier dodge just says add more power and make it stronger to handle it. Doesn't get much more muscle than that.

That little giggle when Jay steps on it from a stop is GENUINE PLEASURE on his part. My ‘73 Challenger (340) kind of gave me a similar reaction but by comparison it was NOTHING compared to the current Challengers. Fun at the time and if I had my hands on this car at 18 years old, I most certainly would NOT HAVE SURVIVED. I would have gone out with a huge grin tho’ !!!

Me too... As far as limited income, that is. I'm 82 years old. The closest thing to a muscle car I had was a 1967 Oldsmobile 442 racing green convertible with white leather upholstery. Bought it in New Hampshire, drove it to San Jose and sold it at a considerable profit. Should never have sold it. It's be priceless now.

I had the opportunity to see and touch this car and the thing that amazed me the most was that looks like any other challenger but when you pay attention to the details it literally blows your mind, what an amazing machine!!!!

While everybody else is doing track specials, Corevettes going to mid engine, Porsches getiing crazy suspensions, you got Dodge just doing their thing and making everyone smile. The Challenger and Charger are literal proof that being fun matters more to people than stuffing every available piece of tech into a car and turning into a screen on wheels. I swear I'm going to own some kind of Mopar before I kick the bucket. Other cars might be faster, corner better, or get amazing MPG, but none of them still have their heart, and Dodge still has theirs in spades :|

I'm generally NOT a fan of Chrysler. I think many of their products are low quality, and are not reliable nor durable. However, they do outrageous better than anyone else! This is a silly, ridiculous, very heavy car, but it's crazy, silly fun and fast! This car will be a conversation piece for anyone who can afford it and will put a big smile on their face when they drive it. It is an instant classic right now, and you can't say that about too many cars in a generation.

Jay says "It feels bulletproof" that's what I thought too the first time I rode in a challenger srt8 in 2008 The doors feel like they are full of lead opening and closing them. Solid steel. Still it could go around corners with surprising speed. Doughnuts in that car are an absolute BLAST also. These cars leave rubber from the dealership all the way to the tire shop
