I seem to have the original impala 62 where the heal is slightly higher tha the front (ie not flat), how would i go about putting a flat frame... with a plate?
@jack915224 жыл бұрын
Very awesome. Brings back a lot of memories. The 62 impalas came with 62mm wheels which isn't easy to source. What wheels would fit now? 60? The Roces boots were never really that comfortable for me. Was thinking of putting in an intuition liner, might be a good match.

Nice and good flashback on Roces Skates from the 90s. But you have been very lucky to get hold of this specific version of the frame, as all of them I have seen back then and today on second hand pages are a one pice construction where you can NOT remove the heel part. Enjoy your rare diamond ;-)
@Thisissoul5 жыл бұрын
true, they are very rare. I have a 5 wheeled speed skate frame and a rockered 76mm frame as well that are built like this.

Hello, I live near Philadelphia, PA in the US and have been rollerblading since the very early 1990's. After a cheeper pair of skates broke after I learned how to skate down the ROCKY steps (76) I upgraded to my first pair of Roces inline skates in 1993 Like the Impala 62 (which I have also) they were the Roces Lowrider skates. Both have almost the same aluminum frames. The 2 differences are the Lowrider plate can take small & a little bigger wheel but not much bigger. The Lowrider plate came in silver not blue like the Impala-62. In the early Impala & Lowrider Roces skates which I have both their plates are all one piece. The rear riser in the plates can not be removed to make the plates level. The pates are all one piece solid aluminum. 30 years also removed the laces and installed 2 boot clamps on each skate and they have never failed me in 30 years. So easy to put on and take off and locks in great. I would send a photo but I see YT does not allow that. Maybe another way will work. I am 58 years young now and still skate not the ROCKY steps anymore but if I had to I could. I just love to skate. I did have a question for you. Like I said I am still using my Roces Lowrider skates but the inside liners are starting to were out. Do you sell the roses liners? The size I am looking for would be a US -11 if so maybe you can help me out. Thank You, Mark....and great video by the way.

Great Video as always, BUT The Roces Impala was not the first Aggressive Skate with a metal frame, the K2 Soulslide, The Roces Vert. and The Roces Street were the first. I think in that line the VERT was the very first! Later then the Original Impala followed (no 62) and then the 62....

The Roces 62 Impala with Cozmo wheels was my favorite ramp set-up. Unfortunately, the boots have degraded in storage and the plastic has snapped, but I'm looking to use the the frame and wheels with a new boot.

that is for sure possible. the holes of the new boots are in the same place! so you dont need to redrill them.

Hi, I have a pair of Roces FCO Rome's. I want to be able to convert them into Ice skates. However, i can't find "165mm ice blade mounting" anywhere online UK (Ebay only have blade adapter kit from china which i'm not too keen on). Do you or anyone know where I could buy some???

Thanks for this video!!!! I follow your mods for years. I mod old majestic and a pair of roces lowrider to convert to UFS and without problems. Now I am trying to mod old Rollerblade Edwards Troopers with roces m12 soulplate but don´t fit well (I think rollerblade is wider than roces). I have seen you mod a pair of Chocolates with this soulplate , how you made it?? maybe Sanding the soulplate??? thanks for your time and this cool videos
@Thisissoul5 жыл бұрын
Hi Emili! The trick is to use 2-3 super long bolts for the first holes. I used some of the Classic Throne soulplate bolts. They will pull the soulplate on the right spot. Then once the soulplate is positioned you can mount it with the short bolts.

@@Thisissoul no worries, was typing in a hurry, so my message may have come across a bit more cress than intended. 😇 I remember people skating the Museumplein verts with the MOW ramps, which gave me the intention to safe up for them.
