hi Luke.. great "how to" vid.. very easy & cheap.. thanks for sharing... vinny
@BoulderCreekRailroad10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Vinny, not sure if the matchsticks would work for N scale, but I'm sure you could make use of the foil technique to make some corrugated iron? I did a tutorial about matchstick fences for N scale but it was alot of hard work for a relatively small result. Here is a link if you interested: www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=15129.0 Thanks for the great feedback. Cheers Luke.

Use metal/tooling embossing foil used by scrap bookers it's more rigid and can be drilled/bent without losing a lot of detail. Kudos on the spring rolling technique it's fantastic....

Cool, I'm glad I've inspired you to give it a try. It's much easier than it looks... the hardest part is rolling the spring across the foil, I had about 4 go's at it before I got it right! But even if you don't get it the first time its no big loss! The materials are cheap. I look forward to hearing how you go. Cheers Luke.

Did you spray the shed with anything to set the pastel?
@BoulderCreekRailroad10 жыл бұрын
North Central Lines On30 Not in the video, I do suggest spraying the building though. I find if I spray it with dull coat I need about 2 or three applications of pastels. So far, as long as I don't touch the building too much I find the pastels stick quite well even without sealing them with a spray.
