Whooaaah this race platformer was very very advanced & ahead of it’s time, it paved the way for scrolling platform games like pac land & supermariobros1 etc,,,,am stun about this technical achievement.

I remember being really impressed when I saw this one in an arcade in the summer of 1982. It definitely stood out at the time. Apparently it was the first game to scroll both horizontally and vertically. Showing you that little preview map of the levels (0:50) may also have been a first.

I feel like the game spoils things by showing that map. Half the fun of games like this one where it’s all one big “level” is playing to get a little further and seeing what lies ahead-that’s what got me addicted to Xevious when I was a kid!!

I played this game so much. I remember getting all the way through and starting all over again by the third or fourth time it was so hard. Great game though

I don't mean to brag, but back in the day, I could play this game on one quarter until the system crashed. Which generally took about 45 minutes.

Wow I have clear memories of playing Jump Bug on a friends Emerson Arcadia in the early 80s. That's the oldest video game I can remember playing.

I don't really call this parallax. The stars don't scroll at all and the clouds are just moving sprites.

There is only one port for an obscure german console called Schmid TVG 2000 afaik...had it when I was a kid and just recently found out about the arcade original
