Now more then ever we need clothes that make us feel good. I have about worn out all my cashmere sweaters but am still wearing them. Getting a new puppy did not help the life span of said sweaters. Thank you for sharing your collections with such a delightful attitude, Robyn from the San Juan Islands, WA.

So I hope you are happy! As a new subscriber of a few weeks you have me roaming around my house at night madly searching for plates, bowls, vases that I have seen you discuss and I think, "I have that piece". Now I have to explain to neighbors when they see lights going on and off in the basement and attic that I haven't loss my mind, its Scott's fault. Thank you for opening my eyes and educating me so often. Love it.

Hi Scott, wonderful treasures you showed us. Not only are you knowledgeable and a great teacher; you are also so fun. I can relate to you when you talk about old family memories. We may be close in age for my memories mirror a lot of yours. Today when you talked about your mother getting upset about your old sweatshirt, well my mother was the same. My brother would say, how old are we, I think I know to wear a sweater when I'm cold. Well we lost my beloved mother a few years back but I can still hear her calling my attention to my wearing big comfy T-shirts. Blessed be out mothers 💞 thanks for all having a great channel.

But this year I have kept it up longer. With all the things in 2020 that took place it kinds of gives me confront to see it a little bit of happiness of past Christmas. I live by my self so I don't have someone fussing for me to take it down. You really have some beautiful glass today. You sure do. Love it all some I never seen before. Looking at all that makes me happy. Where do you store all that? Thanks for showing your beautiful glass

The whole planet is one giant ant nest. They come indoors when it gets cold out. I just had one random very big black ant lounging/warming on my cell phone screen. My ants perform a public service, for free, by cleaning up my crumbs for me!

7:58 I am not a pink person, but if I were ever to hold sit-down dinners, that plate would look great holding homemade, buttery dinner rolls...yum!---Several years ago, I had a trio of artificial trees of varying sizes set up for Christmas, but because my living room was a bit on the dark side & would support life plants, I decided to leave my smallish trees up all year and simply turn them into holiday trees!

A simple solid white, pink, yellow, or mint green table cloth, napkins, and placemats, set with a colored depression glass luncheon, dessert, or dinner pieces. A simple low arrangement of roses makes for a real show stopper. Mixed patterns work well together. Start with 4 of each and use the darn stuff! T.V. Off, sit down, slowly chew your food, and talk. Background music and candles, if you’re special.

Hi, thank you for Part #2, But, where did Part #1 go? You must have spent a few hours packing it away. Sniff, sniff. I really liked the Cambridge (yellow) handled dish, so sleek looking nothing to detract from its simplistic beauty. Twisted optic (Vaseline) yellow, just love it. The blue Duncan Miller dish is gorgeous. SO much knowledge you have stored up in your brain. Wish I had as much...so again Thank You, Looking forward to more,

Hi Scott! loving your vids and wealth of knowledge as always 🙌🏾 .. I have an aside question, hope thats okay.. Im wondering if you have any thoughts/suggestions/tips on what to do/how to price something for when you cant find an exact listing or info on specific items you find even when it's marked? As an example, I found a very pretty carafe/glasses set recently all marked federal glass but Ive been searching and searching for a few weeks now and I cant find anything with the same pattern - does it mean it's rare? Or does it mean it's not worth much? Do these kinds of items get knocked off with fake markings? Ahhh anywho, no pressure to respond! Thanks for being awesome and sharing the wisdom!
@oldcuriosityshop2653 жыл бұрын

If the glass doesn't have a date on it, how do you know what decade it's from? That's always stumped me. A lot of glass doesn't have brands and years on it.....how do you know?
@oldcuriosityshop2653 жыл бұрын
Well I am not an expert but I have been studying books and magazines and attending antique shows and auctions since I was a teenager. It helps to know which colors were popular in each decade as well as the forms and designs that were popular during time periods.
