saw the car outside the Army Surplus store. was surprised on the condition of the car and what offset me was the paint condition .The paint condition which you described was nothing serious!..The exhaust however was a little bit noisy and reminded me of the glasspacks which rednecks install on their trucks and cars. Wish l could have bought it but l would have had to sell my 2002 Merc which has had some starting problems(fuel pump??) and then there was the problem of the temp gauge shooting up with an audible beep and then resetting back to normal after 2 seconds. l installed new pump, temp resister and thermostat.l renewed completely the front end components and had it re-aligned at Downey Ford. Good luck to new owner and it was a steal!!!!.. l'm jealous.!!!

Dosent look to bad a car, here in Australia that could sell for $5000,maybe more, but we don't have them here, mostly Australian Ford or Holden, now there is only the Ford Falcon, that's Australian, which is probably only 1%of car's sold here, all the best to yous and your loved ones

How are you with electrical problems on a 1998 Town Car? Just bought it, had her shipped up from Georgia, super clean underneath, never seen a winter. I'm having new ball joints and sway bars and an idler arm put in at a local garage here in Calais. However, I have an electrical problem. Brand new battery, both it and the alternator tested fine, but somethings draining the battery. Just before I took her into the garage, I swapped out a burned out heated, auto dimming mirror on the driver's side, and I'm praying that was the issue. We share a taste in cars, I have an 05 Marquis and now the 98 Town Boat.
