Olden, Loen Lake & Glacier, Skylift | Norwegian Fjords 7 Night P&O Cruise, Iona | Vlog Series Day 4

Hi, Welcome back! Day 4, Olden port, such a beautiful arrival and an early start to see the mountains. We headed off to the Loen Lake & Kjenndal Glacier trip, the scenery was breathtaking. Like stepping into a postcard. I loved every minute of this trip, 100% recommend!! We then did the Loen Skylift add on to the trip. The views were amazing and such an experience to see the Fjords and glaciers from such a height. Sadly the bad planning of the operators somewhat overshadowed the experience. It was such a full on day from 6am non stop till 9pm. A day I will never forget.
I crashed early, but not before seeing some amazing views as we sailed away.
Day 5 takes us to Hellesylt for an adrenaline filled trip!

hi great video we have just booked this cruise for next year, if you could only choose 1 out of the skylift or the lake/glacier cruise which one would you go with? dont want to cram too much into one day cheers

@@ricey205gti I’d do the sky lift, even with dreadful queues we had I’d say it was something that you just can’t experience elsewhere. Maybe take some binoculars up and you’d have some great views of all the glaciers up there as well. The binoculars were really useful on board during sail ins etc.

Are trainers fine for the walk to the glacier?

@@traceybeaumont8535 they were fine for the Kjenndal glacier, very level path. The briksdal glacier is more of a hike, I’d suggest trekking trainers or walking boots

Did you book this trip on the ship or direct when you docked?

We booked both through Olden Adventure. Much cheaper than the P&O equivalent.

Omg!!! I think I would panic! We are doing the same trip as you guys. Luckily only Iona is only in port when we go. I def would be freaking out with 21 mins spare as we have cruised twice before! Can’t wait til next port vlog Amy 🫶🏻

@@ExtremeRoamer there was only Iona in port for us too, the other 2 ships people had come in on coaches from other ports. One over 4 hrs away! We thankfully had a couple in theme queue in front of us who had booked direct with P&O so we knew if we stayed with them we knew the ship wouldn’t go without them. It was a bit concerning how badly the skylift team handled it all.

@@thisbirdrocks deffo 100% Omg didn’t even think bout other ports!!! I hope people booked p&o when we go then. I did actually email olden adventures before I booked with my concern and they said it is fine. 🤞🏻it will. Will be vlog tho
