I've been thinking about doing this with my ottb. It definitely adds value to the horse. While I don't plan to sell her, if something should happen, she'd have a better chance of finding a great home. Congrats on your newly accepted girly! Edit to add: That looks more like a two year old. Her tail and forelock are a little longer than I'd expect for a yearling. (Even for a draft. My draft colt has the hair gene and his tail is only that long now that he's two.)
@Milestone-Equestrian2 жыл бұрын
She hasn’t lost any baby teeth yet and was very much a weanling when she came in over the fall so highly unlikely that she is 2 unless she’s a winter baby but that wouldn’t work time wise with how little she was when she came in.

@@Milestone-Equestrian I'm sure with the right Stud, she'll make a stunning foal!! Especially if you go with a Stud that has a calmer temperament. It can pass down, even if the mare is a slightly nervous mare like Harlow. Hope when you do decide to breed her, you'll let us all know which Stud you've picked out for her. Can't wait to see what kind of mother she will be. Hopefully better than Banksy's mother!! Best Regards to your mother Shelby Dennis!! Is Harlow a thoroughbred?
@Milestone-Equestrian2 жыл бұрын
Yes
@HannaFardew2 жыл бұрын
When it comes to most warmblood registries, you can register thoroughbreds in them as thoroughbreds are considered a foundation breed. Some studbooks will allow other breeds (other than thoroughbred) to also be registered with them. It helps keep the gene pool diverse in the studbook while a close studbook will eventually run out of unique genetic code (like the friesians)

Is Harlow so tall or are you on the shorter side? That extended trot was fab, Harlow's trot looked good too lol. I got an 7yo gelding that was chopped 5 years ago, 4yo gelding chopped year ago (previously used as a stud), 2yo chopped 3 months ago. Bought a 10mo filly and obviously the 7yo thought he was a stallion of the wild herd and was being creepy. Its probably just a thing weird geldings with sketchy backgrounds do

I clearly have no idea how this works. I’m confused how a TB can be in the Oldenburg registry?
@barbaragreene65922 жыл бұрын
When you were walking you mare for her test, her right hand, back leg, seemed weak at the ankle. Her ankle seemed to turn in when she was walking. It may have just been the angle of the camera but it might b something that you would need to check out. Have your mother lead her on flat ground n see for yourself.

Another youtuber (sadly one I don't follow as closely as you) did a DNA test on her BLM mustangs to see what mix they were. If I'm remembering correctly, it wasn't super specific, but maybe there are different ones out there? Of course, like you said, she's super cute, so it doesn't matter. Would just be for fun.

@Milestone-Equestrian2 жыл бұрын
Raleigh names everyone in those videos so you shouldn’t have to ask but as far as I know, no, because usually when I get mentioned the following of those accounts comes to try to bully me and that hasn’t happened recently 😆

@@Milestone-Equestrian no, she doesn't. She addresses the abusive behavior. Would you like me to share the link to the video in question?
@Milestone-Equestrian2 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccak8255 I have no idea what video you were even talking about which is why I’m saying I don’t know. I’m not sure why she would ever have a go at me regarding abusive behaviour considering I’m a certified IAABC behaviour consultant with extensive equine science and welfare education. But if it is me feel free to send me the link so I can see what it is But, perhaps this is why names should be used because otherwise you end up sending drama over to pages that have absolutely nothing to do with the Videos you’re talking about because I’m going to wager a guess that the the video is not about me if it was about abusive behaviour towards Horses because my entire platform is dedicated to speaking out against it and showing off better practises so I would be a pretty weird person to come after.

@@Milestone-Equestrian actually, she said she followed you on tiktok. I was just asking. I didn't know. No need to be defensive or anything. I was juuuuuust asking bluntly The girl in the video unfortunately(for you) looks a bit like you. Again, I was just asking. No harm meant. I found the video and she mentions in the first three minutes of the video that she follows you and then carries on with her video.
@Milestone-Equestrian2 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccak8255 And I was answering. It isn’t getting defensive to inform you that it probably isn’t the best idea to jump the gun and start pointing fingers when you were referencing a video that is about someone being abusive to their animals. I am rightfully defensive if someone is going to make those types of accusations and try to align me with people who do those types of things because I’m very much against it.
