I wish I would have seen your video before our trip to Sturgis. I bought the Harley 2up touring seat for my 2024 Street Glide and it was just ok. I had a 2017 Ultra Limited before and that fat cushy seat was great for my other trips to Sturgis. And no I don't think it's that ugly. I have a stock Street Glide seat for that 2017 that I might try and modify to fit my 2024 Street glide and see how it looks. Thanks again for the tip.

I just did this mod on my 2024 RG and for the most part it went well, I may have cut out the hole a little bit larger, but nonetheless it fits… The only downside is the tongue or nose of the seat shows a wide gap at the front of the tank, that is understandable though as the new 2024 RG models have been redesigned from the fairing, gas tank, & saddle bags, the oem seat that I used came from ‘21 RGS & surprisingly, it looks & feels better on the rear end vs the OEM…thanks for sharing

thanks for sharing your experience. It definitely does have a bit of a gap, but doesn't really bother me too much. I have seen that even some of the new aftermarket seats have that gap, and they were made specifically for this bike. I would much rather have my ultra seat because I know it is comfortable. I have that same seat on my 2016 Street Glide. It was comfortable. It is finally getting worn out after 107600 miles. I will either get a new one or have it rebuilt.

In my opinion it really does not matter the look as long as it works for your needs. Love the sharkskin blue bike and I’m glad you figured it out to use the older seat that makes a better ride.

You can use tape to pattern the opening of the original seat and transfer it to the seat and cut the slot to specific size needed.

I cut my 21 ultra seat out yesterday and got it to fit but only thing I don’t like is the front gap! But man does it feel good when I’m going down the road hahah. Debating on just leaving that seat for when me and wife ride and have tourpack on and not worried about the look. Or I just go ahead and buy the road sofa and be done

@CodyMcDonald89 Yeah, there is no comparison to the comfort of that seat! I don't even see the gap anymore, and to be honest, when my bike is out of the garage, nobody else does either because I am riding it, haha. I was worried about the look at first, but if I am going somewhere, I know it will be parked for a while in public, I just use my stock seat. Have seen lots of people giving good reviews of the Road Sofa, so it's prob a good choice too. Thanks for watching!

Perfect. I have a seat from my old bike that I put on it whenever I had a passenger. I sold my old bike and kept the seat because I was hoping to make it work for the new bike as well. I'll have a look at doing this. Thanks!

The only time the looks of that seat matter is when you’re walking up to it to get on it, that boils down to “doesn’t matter”; what does matter is how well it suits your backside and that lasts a lot longer than the ‘look’. Ride your ride, Brother!

They do. I think that the stock seats I have seen on the '24 models with a tour pack look a little small, and the ultra seat would definitely fill that out a lot better. I don't think it looks too bad without the trunk either! Thanks for watching!

I just bought a 2020 limited seat off of marketplace for my 2024 street glide. After fitting, im thinking about sending it off to mean city cycles to get recovered to make a little more presentable. Does the width of the passenger pillion interfere with the saddlebags?

I am positive this seat came from an Ultra Limited, not sure of the year. What I found looking up the numbers on the bottom of the seat is it may be from a 2015. I bought it used from Facebook Market and never asked what year it was from, I had just looked up the part number to be sure it would fit my 2020 Street Glide I had at the time. Hope this helps!
