The truck camper is our 4th RV, and only used one. We are very happy with it.

These days (from 2008 to today) it is more advantageous to buy a pre-2008 recognizable brand name Class C or Class A for $30,000 and put up to $80,000 and a year of labor in remodeling and refurbishing than buy a new Thor brand RV for $200K+ and spend a year of dealer issues where they keep your rig for a year addressing the nearly complete factory new stapled cardboard and tin crap products Thor and now Winnebago produce.

We would tend to agree. Buyers who can't or don't want to DIY, just need to make sure they find resources.

Good info. New coaches are typically more aesthetically pleasing but not well made. If one is generally going to stay at public campgrounds where age of rv isn’t an issue then older rv’s are the way to go. Plus the cost can be dramatically different as well.

I agree that the newer RV’s are more up to date as far as looks. I still say the material quality of the older coaches are better. New or old RV’s are not cheap to own and maintain. Thanks for watching!

Great informative interview - thanks for doing this! personally I think it helps to be mechanically inclined to have any RV, old or new... If I was not, I'm not sure we would still be RVing... You guys did a great job on this :)

Your right anyone thinking of owning an RV should be somewhat mechanically savvy. It can get real expensive real fast. Thanks for watching!

We have a 2021 NuCamp Tag Teardrop XL Boondock edition. We thought about upgrading to the 2024 edition. Now I’m not sure. Do you think NuCamp would just upgrade ours to match the 2024 model?

Older RV’s can be money pits too-People make out like they are so much better then newer RV’s but they aren’t and that older chassis is a ticking time bomb money pit 🤷‍♀️ Both need work and money 💴

The prices there are crazy high. There are some excellent Alfas for sale for way less in our group with all records if interested.

Manufacturers need to explain why quality has gone downhill and why they put max profit above customer service/loyalty. EVERYONE knows that older units are built better, but we never a solid explanation from those that build them. So if it isn't pure profit, what is it?

Profit. CEOs forced to be only concerned with the bottom line to get their bonuses. I don't know of Owner Presidents running many companies these days.
