For Filipino-Chinese food, you should go to Classic Savory or Mann Hann restaurant. They can usually be found in most malls. There's a Mann Hann in Market!Market! Mall in BGC. Pancit Canton (chow mein noodles), salt and pepper spareribs, camaron rebosado (battered prawns), and lomi (egg noodles) are the usual favorites.

I forgot to add - Planning a trip to Cebu, the Queen City of the South? Don't just pack your swimsuit for swimming with whale sharks, one of the planet's biggest fish! Cebu is also a haven for foodies. Be sure to try their mangoes, renowned for their sweetness and rivaling the famous Guimaras mangoes from another Philippine island. Cebu also boasts some of the country's best lechon, a slow-roasted whole pig with a crispy, crackling skin and incredibly flavorful meat. In fact, the late Anthony Bourdain himself declared Cebu's lechon "the best pig ever.

We will not be able to include Cebu this trip, but it is on our list for the next trip for sure. There is so much history we want to see that we are planning on coming back to the Philippines later this year. The lumpia that you got in this video is called lumpiang Sariwa or fresh lumpia. There are 3 popular varieties of lumpia, fresh lumpia with a garlicky peanut sauce, lumpiang Shanghai which is the small egg rolls which usually have the ground pork that you dip in sweet and sour sauce and the last one is the lumpiang gulay which is with veggies that you dip in vinegar.

Welcome to the Philippines. Quick fact in the oldest Chinatown. This was a European (Spain, not Filipino) arrangement as they wanted to limit the mobility of immigrants and trade from China into their Territory. Nothing touristy or friendly in origin.. it's just districting as Spain wanted a central location for the Chinese traders to drop their goods which the Spaniards shipped to Europe. Enjoy.
