Hello Sue - GREAT video! I didn't know anything about this - so it was fantastic news and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video. BUT .... *Pause the video at 2.51* and look carefully at the top (HUGE) stone. I see a face on it. I saw it instantly. I see the eyes, and it seems to have it's mouth open. I do believe that I can even see some teeth! Now .... *Let the video run until 3.06 - and pause it again* ... Tilt your head over to the right - as if you're trying to touch your shoulder with your ear. Then look at that large dark patch on the stone/rock - and let your eyes walk around that dark patch until you begin to see another face - in the very white patch slightly to the upper right side of the black patch on the stone, with white hair (looks like the wind has blown his wispy hair) - again, I can see eyes and, again, it looks like his mouth is open. He looks a bit cross over something or other. Hope I've explained what I'm seeing, and how to find those faces, properly. GREAT video Sue and GV. Thank you so, so much for this fabulous bit of education! Sending much love ~ Cobs. xxx

Wow! The oldest graves I've clapped on eyes on here in Honolulu were from the 1800s. The first people who would become Hawaiians arrived here a "mere" 1,500 years ago. They were followed by the Tahitians about 500 years afterward. The bones, or "iwi", of all these ancient Hawaiians are regarded in highest esteem here and are not to be disturbed. Anyway...mahalo for showing us yet another gorgeous and historical place. Aloha!

@rte64rte I have a similar theory. Bit by bit they dug holes and put rocks under it . when that was done the inner earth was removed. Some of these ancient graves were coved over with earth after the body was laid inside but of course over time wind and rain would erode it away. Any way just a thought 😊

Hello Sue. I visited that dolmen in June 1970, when no one could tell me where it was. I asked the local postman, who did not know but gave me directions to some other wonder ten miles away. I just found the photo with my bicycle lent against one of the support stones. There was no tarmac path and fences back then, nor did folks have to sanitize everything and provide a car park.

What is the proof that this was a burial place and how do they know the dates? To me it looks like a very large stone was maybe dumped there during the ice age?
