Oldest Muslim Area In Bangkok Thailand!! In this Thailand travel vlog I visit the Thonburi area of Bangkok which was the capital of Thailand in the past. I visit the oldest muslim area of Bangkok near Ton Son Mosque which is the oldest mosque in Thailand and has a muslim area around it. I also visit the temple nearby known as Wat Arun which shows the diversity in Thailand. Thonburi is an area of bangkok you don't see often and in this video you can see a deep dive into the history of Bangkok and Thailand.

The Persian came to Thailand during the Ayutthaya period and they had their community around the capital too. That's why after the decline of the Ayutthaya, they moved and lived around the Thonburi, I think.

The Royal Thai Navy Headquarter is quite close to this mosque. That may be the reason why quite a number of Thai navy officers can take a prayer there.

Actually all the canal routes do gave schedules more or rless. I think there is 2 routes. And 2 bigger routes back and forth on both sides of main river. I mean water taxis not the expensive limited site tour sold at some waterfront boiths.

Muslim in Bangkok are Malayu people from Pattani. Around 30 years ago Malayu Pattani still call muslim in Bangkok as Malayu-Bangkok but nowadays i don't here it often very less use when time goes by. Due to war in the past between Siam Kingdom with Patani Kingdom, Patani lost and Siam in the past bring Patani Sultan and Malayu people to middle of Siam to be worker build siam Kingdom like as make canal in Bangkok same as others Kingdome which lost to siam. Bring siam people to stay in Patani kingdom, separate Patani Kingdom to be Pattani Yala Narathiwat and some part in Songkla Trang province and some part in Malaysia. Later there are Thai muslim in Ayutthaya, Bangkok and Chachengsao. Siam changed name to Thailand with many Ethnicities and becoming mix together. Same as Phuket in the past local people can speak Malayu but nowadays mostly of them cannot speak malayu only some part like Orang Laut in Phuket is 1st first group people who move to Phuket from Saiburi Malayu nowadays they still speak malayu in local song.
