she had a dream that she jumped off of the golden gate bridge and her parents/team were telling her to do it so therefore that's why the line "nobody cried, nobody even noticed" is in there. but she feels like no matter what she'll always have her brother finneas. she started her music career and when it comes to it she'll end it with him. and that hey'll go through things together the good and bad.

At that time, B was suffering from major depression and “everything she wanted” in this case was to die. In her (real) dream she jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and got what she wanted. The reason it was a nightmare was not that she drowned but bc nobody cared that she jumped. Then the song sort of morphs into ideas around her struggling with fame and her millions of haters. Ultimately it’s about her brother making everything ok. And when it’s not ok … well, if they go down, they go down together. Which is what happens here.

People have been incredible cruel to this girl. And all mostly while she was still a minor, a teenager. You get two types, people who love and support her and people who's main goal in life seems to be to cut her down to size. She's so incredibly talented and it makes a lot of people insanely jealous that she should have so much talent at such a young age. She was still quite young when they released this. She wasn't yet 18. "They" is referring to the people who are constantly tearing her down.

I'm 68, so I think I have years on both of you! I went to see Billie in concert in St. Paul, MN on March 15, 2022 - my first concert in over 40 years. The concert was awesome - Billie is a phenom. She will be 21 on Dec. 18, 2022. Billie is not a belter, but I would suggest that your guest on his own watch Billie singing "No Time To Die" [ This year's Oscar Winner for Best Original Song] live at the Brit's [with Hans Zimmer conducting the orchestra and her brother Finneas on the piano] on you tube [Feb. 19, 2020] - that would be my first choice, or live at the Academy Awards on March 28, 2022, also on you tube. On July 27, 2022 Billie sang Peggy Lee's "FEVER" at the Hollywood Bowl in a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee - it's great - a 20 yr. old who loves those classic artists and the Beatles, Green Day, and rappers and Hip Hop. Billie will admit she doesn't have the voice of an Adele, or Ariana Grande - but her sound is unique and authentic and from everything I've read by vocal coaches, singing the way she does is as - usually quieter [not whispering] and with such control - much a gift as the voluminous belters. Also Billie at 17 was the youngest person to write and perform a Bond song and "NO TIME TO Die" was number one in the United Kingdom, youngest person to achieve that in this century [I think the youngest ever to achieve that]. I would also recommend to your guest the "Happier Than Ever" official music video, and consider what other songs he's familiar with that have such an abrupt change halfway through the song.

There are hidden gems in this video if you watch it again. Starting from the beginning..the lights on the towers in the background light up on time with the piano notes, the street lights pass by on beat when the beat comes in, lots of little things..just look for them 🧐😉

Billie isn’t really a belter. She is capable of belting, but it’s not her style. She’s more of a jazzy/hip hop type singer. But if you want to hear her belt a line, listen to “no time to die” from the last James Bond movie. Billie and Finneas did the theme song for the movie. The youngest to do that as well.

you should react to lifeline by joshua bassett. it’s a song to his mom about when he was hospitalized last year with septic shock and heart failure. the doctors told him he only had 30% chance to survive and also that he would have died in 12 hours if he hadn’t gone to the hospital. joshua is a 21 year old singer and actor id love if you’d check him out
