I was born in Oldham in 1960 and often think I'd prefer to have been born in 1950. Then I consider that I'd be 10 years more knackered than I am now. Gratitude for small mercies is a good thing. Many thanks for this lovely upload!

Hard to contemplate how a town full of beautiful, intelligent and so well-mannered people have been replaced by......people very different. An utterly disastrous and unforeseen collapse.

Come on, out with it. You have a problem with people who have darker skin than you, don't you.

Wow, I grew up in Oldham and was a child visiting town on the weekends circa 88 onwards and I always sensed that the town was more buzzing with life in previous ages. it was still bright in the 80's though.

I worked in Oldham 10 years from 1997 until I retired in 2006. They were the happiest 10 years of my working life. Oldham looked a lot different then ! When this was filmed I was 3 !

Yes it was a better place now your lucky to meet anyone with any manners. if they are not pushing you out of the way to be first or effing every other word makes you wonder what has happened doesn't it .🤔😑

People were poor, life was hard and work was hard but it was still a better place than it is today. Work that one out.
