I have the old metal citadel zombie with the crow on his shoulder picking the brain out of the back of the zombies head. I love him.

I was eyeing the Fireforge boxes recently over on badger games, i really like the moduelarity, especially if they combine withe the Cultusts box set from Frostgrave!

I combined leftovers with Wargame Atlantics Cannon Fodder for Scifi Minier Zombies in Stargrave. These are fantastic minis.

I’ve got that same pair of 80s Collector Series zombies; they work perfectly alongside any newer zombies with the same paint scheme

The Reaper Dungeon Dweller zombies sculpted by Bobby Jackson are pretty great. The paint kit they include them in as well is very awesome and gave me two of my favorite colors, gutter grime and vampire pallor. They have a very old school Citadel zombie vibe to them but 28mm and a lot of fun to paint.

It looks like some of the old Wargames factory plastic boxes were picked up by Wargames Atlantic. The Wargame Factory Angus McBride inspired Orc set was recently released as digital files from Wargames Atlantic Digital division.

I'm working on some leftover Mantic zombies from my pile of shame, as part of "Sporktober" (a mix of Orktober and Spooktober). The neat part of the Mantic sprue is that each can make 3 zombies, or 4 zombies if you build two of them as "half zombies" using the extra bits. I built all the whole zombies from my sprues a while back, and am now making the half zombies. Three of the ones that are just legs are being built with cocktail sticks drilled into them to stick out the top. Two will be used as banner poles, and the other has the pole shortened and made into a scratch-built lectern. So when I paint up a Necromancer at some point, the lectern zombie will be a mobile holder for the Necromancer's spellbook. I'm planning on using them for Age of Fantasy, so the Necromancer will be joined up to the zombie unit, and needs someone to carry their stuff. Some folks get creative with their undead automatons, after all. If I ever buy more zombies, I'm definitely going to grab the Living Dead Peasants from Fireforge. I enjoy the idea that they're "fresher", relatively, and so still have their clothes and farming implements. My only gripe is their 18 model count, which is unhelpful for games that order units in multiples of 5/10. Though I can always make some extras by sticking spare limbs and heads erupting from the ground. I might even create some kind of "unit filler" type models, with multiple round bases stuck together to form one larger base that has gravestones and limbs coming out of the ground. (I could also buy some individual Sprues from Perry Miniatures and stick zombie peasant arms/heads on, if I wanted more single figures).

I have the citadel samurai zombie from the first photo, the one holding the spear towards the bottom. There were a bunch of undead samurai but I only saw one in that photo. The rest qualify as ghosts or skeletons I guess

Not necessarily a cheap option, but certainly nice sculpts can be found in the Zombicide Black Plague game. Sixty-four zombies and a half dozen zombie hunters round out this CMON/ Guillotine Games product. Managed to get a copy from a friend for around $40. Someday I will get round to painting them. Great video by the way. Keep these coming! Thanks.

I use those for my Mordheim warband but the minis are apart of the base so you either you gotta trim the base or use the ones they came with. Slightly annoying if you like to have your team on the same base size.

I remember when I got back into the hobby and someone told me that people have always found the classic GW kit goofy. This was when I discovered that 90s marines are all squatting and look bad, and that we *needed* upgraded Cadians. Cartoonish proportions are easy to paint and spot on the table! And I don't care how detailed a mini is- it's never going to look realistic.

Lastsword miniatures has some really awesome zombies and priced well (I 3d print and support their Patreon so I get tons of minis each month for 10 bucks). Lastsword also sells casts of their minis too if you don't have a 3d printer. Highland Miniatures also has great zombie sculps, but they only sell stl files, unless you buy from someone who has a commerical license.

I've never seen the Mordheim exclusive zombies. Having an elf, dwarf, and Sister of Sigmar in zombie form is just a really good ribbon to tie the setting up in. I'd like to know if other nonhuman zombies exist sculpted by GW as adding 3rd party nonhuman zombies has become very popular for undead players.

I have a ludicrous amount of zombies from the zombicide board games (damn kickstarters). I haven't played the game in over a year, but I've used the minis in a variety of other things.

Yea, I'm not a fan of the new GW zombie sculpts either. Right now, I'm using Flesh-Eater Courts Crypt Ghouls as proxies and I have one WFB zombie regiment. I just found two AOS Zombie boxes NIB for $37 each so I picked those up.

I just picked up another horde for my "Zombicide Extreme" (moving the board game to the tabletop). Board games like Zombicide are a good deal...sometimes. The best "bargain" must be the Twilight Creations "Bag O Zombies" or "Bag O Dogs" or "Bag O Babes" all have 100 in the bag are the same sculpt ...a bit basic....but can be found for ~$10 per bag. Hard to beat that price point today.

The new GW sculpts are not too bad to paint, I'd say. Some of the doodads are optional, and the roots growing through them are easy to paint and look pretty cool for it. I can't argue about the price though! ^_^
