Trees reach the greatest age of all living things. They remain rooted to the same spot for hundreds of years. Innumerable animals live on and from old trees. From the coasts of the North Sea to the Alps, the film is a wonderful journey through Germany.
It portraits the most beautiful veterans in the country e.g. the poisonous yew tree whose seed had germinated even before the birth of Kaiser Friedrich Barbarossa and before Henry I’s ascension to the English throne in the year 1100 or the so called 1000 years old oaks, the closer look revealed them not being any older than 700 years at the most. Some of them were used as court and gallows oaks in former times but luckily have long since gone out of fashion.
Many of the veterans are close to an end, but each one of them has produced millions of seeds and now their descendents rely on man. It is up to us humans to give those that survive sufficient space and the time to grow old. Maybe 1000 years old.

AGREED! 👍I understand these great docs are free for us viewers to watch, but the ads are overloaded. This channel is so great...that I will still watch. Just having found the channel recently, I try to do everything I can to make sure the creators do get the well deserved credit they should get, (Like, comment, sub., etc) but a FEW less ads would make this the ABSOLUTE BEST CHANNEL on Y.T (imo)

@@bkbekka3039 I don't mind ads. In fact, I watch most of KZbin videos in bed on an older iPad Retina, and there's no adblock whatsoever. A few seconds ads shouldn't turn into half an hour promotion of a product or service, or a video(as an ad) once KZbin tracks that you're about to nod off. 🙄 I wake up any way, close the browser, open DUCKDUCKGO, and watch the documentary there. Less data, batttery usage, and no ads. :)

Why wouldn't you plant flowers that bloom during and after when the lime trees bloom, and give the bee's an alternate food source and stop the bee cemetery beneath the trees ? Easy to do & not expensive, get a mix of annuals and perennials, save our bees, if they go... we go...

These trees would have looked like shrubs in front of the giant trees that were hewn down by the fallen angels. Now you will see only the giant stumps everywhere around the world. People call them "mountains" but in reality, they are hewn down giant tree stumps. You will find all of this in the book of Enoch.

I'm pretty sure there are lots of trees over 1k in Europe. There are tons in the US, at high altitudes, where they remain smaller because of how much more slowly grow.

there are two thousand year old Huon pine trees in Tasmania, and even older trees on other continents. Olive trees can be that old, although they don't get as high as a pine... old dwarfs!

31:00 How silly and impotent a religion must be when it starts to see trees as enemies ......oh well ......at least it still hasn't managed to get our weekly days called to their own blood soaked fairy tales (unlike our pagan heroes) . "Thor's lightning is impotent" .....let's hear you preach that during a thunder storm when you seek refuge under a tree. ⚡Praise Jéééésus .

Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, there is no other way. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, saves lost souls, you only have to believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary to be saved. Please receive your free gift now, you have already been purchased, you only have to believe to receive your free gift of your Salvation. Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 - you are saved by grace through faith, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 1:13 - saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Heaven and Hell are real, literal places, there is nothing in-between. Choose your eternal destination wisely for your soul. Please get saved, time is running out, tomorrow is not promised.
