In the Houston area in the 80’s there was a wild struggle for listeners between the two largest stations, 104 KRBE and 93Q. If one station played a song the other did too. Worked out great for us listeners when we loved the song because we could listen to it on one station and switch to the other and hear it again.😂 This was a funny song I liked and was out around the same time as that whole Roxanne Roxanne rap song fight, anyone remember that?? “Roxanne Roxanne, I wanna be your man” and then another song would come out in answer, etc. I don’t even know how long that went on or how many songs total there were. Ah, the good ol’ days. Recording songs off the radio, including DJ banter, on our old boom boxes. Somewhere I still have a few tapes!

This song "Electric Lady" is by Con Funk Shun, which was release in 1985. I think you're getting this song mixed up with Cameo's 1982 song "Alligator Woman."
