The late 80s and early 90s in california was an era that im proud to say i survived and wasnt on the porch lookin in... i was fully active and in the mix made it thru. Heavily scarred and torn down but still breathing and my spirit still intact. This video damn near made me cry cuz i realized with all the bad shit and craziness from that time for sum weird reason i miss it....ima forever be a mystery to my own self

They don’t kick it outside anymore because of Gang Injunctions. There been many Injunctions of Norteño & Sureño Varrios to where they can’t be seen kickin it in public anymore. Pues they can’t even walk to the damn liquor store together, or even be seen speaking to eachother on their block. If a cop see you, then boom you booked into county. That’s what many of us are trying to fight against, to give us our rights back. That’s like taking away our freedom if you think about it.

He was from Varrio Sal Si Puedes de Eastside San Jose, Norte Califas, that Varrio still going strong since the 1940’s one of the oldest Norteño barrios that started as a Pachuco hood. Y pues @ 8:26 is Barrio Torrance an old school hood from the 1970’s de Eastside San Jose. Another @ 9:15 is Ese Duke with his hyna de Varrio Southside San Jose, he played in the movie The Duke of Earl, that’s another old school Norteño Barrio from the 1970s. Y @ 10:58 some vatos de San Fran Mission (San Francisco). Gracias for having flickas from my City of San Jo carnal. Let me know if u want more flickas I have a lot ey. Ikr it was a crazy and dangerous time but I still really miss those days . My varrio looks nothing like it did when I was a youngster the buildings where I was raised and the homies kicked have long since been torn down and replaced with condominiums.

Clanton 14st SUR is a old time hood. Created in 1920 or sooner. Crazy that this neighborhood survived over 100 years going back to zoot suits riots. God bless all who struggled in this old school neighborhood full of history.
