The real problem ain't the layup packages, some are good some are meh, it's that if you're not >6'3 or even 6'4 you're totally F'd. It's almost impossible to play layups this year as a 6'2. I got 93 driving layup and I miss almost 60 to 70% of my layups because everytime the game consider I'm light pressured or tight, tried RP%, High Risk, Low Risk, Normal Risk, it doesn't change anything. The game is just unforgivable for under 6'3 players. I've tried Kyrie (using his package every year, never had any problems), Curry, Trae, it's the same shi. Bricks on bricks, blocks on blocks, the only thing I do now is floaters because of how inconsistent layups are. While you could be 6'4 with 70 driving layup and make contested like it's nothing and all. This layup at 3:55 would register light pressured or even tight and be a brick if you were smaller. I understand that last year layups were too powerful on small guards but damn this year it's useless to put stats on layups, I regret going 93 I should have done full driving dunk and that's it

Yeah that’s why I went back to taller guards like I used to in 2k16 with shorter guards you have to be crafty and use the stick and do change shot layups to make them and not get blocked along with turning the layup meter on if you aren’t good with timing

I’m a 6’3 guard, and layups are just fine to me. Like the other guy said… you have to be really crafty and patient this year. It’s very situational for sure with small guards.

@@BigPetzilla Yeah like I said layups problem seems to be for under 6'3 guards. Every year I have 2 guards builds usually one at 6'2 or 6'1 and one at 6'3 and this year I struggle a lot more to make 'em on my 6'2 than on my 6'3 that only has 80. I'm always using right stick to make my layups, know my moves but animations looks so much slower on 6'2 than on 6'3, it seems like the game does everything possible to get you contested or blocked on a 6'2

Meh. Those are ugly layups. I made a Carmelo build that looks exactly like him and only pretty animations. I get nice contact layups and put the ball up high while in the air. Trust me, there’s a lot of ways to play this game.
