Hi, what cable do you suggest I buy to connect my Android (type C cable) phone to a projector and get it to play movies from Netflix? I am not familiar with s21 but I do have an older phone s10plus and the shortcut for Smartview is when I swiped down 2x then swiped to the left and I there you will find the Smart view.

Are you sure it has wifi feature? What’s the model of your projector if you don’t mind?

You have to turn on first your Vankyo then set to screen sharing. Open your phone or tablet make sure your wifi is on. Try to refresh your wifi as well. Then select it from there. My old android as I used in this video, as long as your wifi is on, I just went to screen sharing on my phone then it’s connected to the projector.

I am not sure if I’m getting your question. Anyway you can use HDMI, RCA or VGA depending what ports your projector has then connect the source of the video you wanted to project.

Please check if your projector has that feature as not all the projector supports screen sharing. If in case yours doesn’t have it, you will have to get a casting device like chrome cast so you can watch netflix, prime, etc wireless from your phone.

You should but you will need a Bluetooth wireless transmitter. I had audio delay issue which I can’t fixed yet.

I heard about Netflix and Prime have set restrictions to some areas. Since you are already using and android, yet it's not letting you screen mirror to the projector, your option is to get a chrome cast or other casting device to connect to your projector then connect to your phone.

Check if your projector screen mirroring feature. If it has that feature then, phone could be connected wirelessly. If it doesn’t have that feature, I think cables are not normally comes on the package to connect to phones. You have to buy lightning to hdmi or usb c to hdmi - depends the phone you have. Please check to ensure your projector has hdmi port

Connection from this phone to projector is though screen sharing not through wifi. The phone itself is connected to wifi to access Netflix, prime or you tube videos

Again this is as per experience, I used my Old LG G5 and it works fine. Please note not all devices are capable of screen sharing as well as projector. On the other if you buy a chrome cast even both your device and projector doesn’t have screen sharing feature, you will be able to wach netflix or prime videos wirelessly.

If you meant you want to connect the device you want to use for screen sharing to your projector and that device does not have internet connection to watch for example netflix or prime video. You would connect like normal- Iike connecting to a wifi available and could be from another device that has data or internet connection.

Not sure if my estimate was right , it’s over 20ft, I just went to the other room to test it. Perhaps the walls are blocking the signal as well as I haven’t tried it yet from an open area.

If you can’t find the file sharing in the Input setting, unfortunately not all projector has screen sharing function. If no screen sharing, I suggest using a chrome cast, any cast or apple tv through HDMI port and connect from there

What projector and phone do you have as not all projector have screen mirroring feature however most of the phones have screen sharing nowadays. You still have option though. You can buy a chrome cast to connect to your projector so you can watch movies wirelessly from your phone to projector.

Did you by chance, uninstalled the screen sharing option or smart view or something like that coz you won’t be able to reinstall it as per my mini research. It says for the new android phones now, no more screen sharing option so you up will need to connect a chrome cast or casting device to watch Netflix or prime wirelessly from your phone to by your projector. However I’m not 100% sure about that info about no more Screen sharing on the newer android as I only have the Samsung s10 plus right now which an older phone.

I am not very techky person, if you are watching netflix or you tube, most probably it’s the internet speed. Turn off the gadget that you don’t need in your house.

Screen sharing option is found in the input setting. There should be a screen sharing option if you have the same kind of projector. I think not all projector has screen share option however there is other way to screen share of you connect a chrome cast, any casting device or apple tv.

That is true. Sometimes I have yo wait for few minutes, sometimes I have to reboot the projector or my phone or Sometimes I have to try a few times before it works. To avoid this issue, I suggest to use chromecast for both ios and android or apple tv for iOS. With either of these 2 devices, streaming is very smooth.

Most likely it’s about Netflix/prime is blocking a third party. That’s weird coz I’ve tried both my Lg G5 as well as Samsung s 10+ and they both work audio and video. If it doesn’t work for you then you would have to get a chrome cast to connect to the projector so you can watch Netflix/prime from your phone wirelessly.
