@@marat2005 I was stunned to learn what close friends Kenny and Lionel were. Lionel took his death hard, and as a fan of both of them, my heart broke for him. We watched the show on CMT last night and it was a nice tribute to Kenny. They had a lot of fun during the 30+ years of their friendship. I think my favorite performance of the night was Dolly singing/playing "Sweet music man".

I was just singing this song to my wife a bit earlier tonight - she is having some serious health problems and is in almost constant pain.. I sing songs of love to her, to distract her from concentrating on the pain. Another 2 months and 3 days and we will celebrate 55 years of marriage. She is and always has been 'My Lady". Plus she is housebound,, and those pain clinic doctors don't do house calls. I haven't seen a doctor do a house call since I was a kid in the '50's.

My mother went to the New Haven Coliseum awesome and she went to the casino to see him whenever he was in Connecticut.
