The TV version featured Webb’s longtime friend Stacy Harris as Tanner. Barney Phillips played Friday’s partner Sgt. Ed Jacobs…

Ah, I found it! Fits more closely with the TV version than the subsequent radio episode with Frank Smith.

"The Big Pipe" is very much the same thing with "The Big September Man", but with the suspect's mother lying on the witness stand, however, that's just half of the whole story. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJSzpqF8Zbh4ZqMfeature=shared

“The Big September Man” September 27, 1951 The first suspect: .... nice guy just bangs his head against walls when he’s drunk, yikes... talk about a character flaw, yikes! • horrible how so many use religious beliefs to kill. Wonder if this sick creep was ultimately fried in September? Thanks for the KZbin post 👌

Interesting episode! In the supernatural spirit dimension, Lucifer can and often does twist Holy scripture, and one who is mentally unfit would misinterpret it to fit his evil motive. Tanner wasn't "saved" - He used scripture as justification for murdering a woman who dumped him. Hopefully he repented before he got the gas!

6,000 hits and four comments??? Come folks get involved. I’m surprised they found him sane ... well , he paid the price I guess 😮

Actually in the court of law, you have to prove the defendant was sane during commission of the crime, that he knew what he was doing. Otherwise, he would've gone free with an insanity plea.

Not true. First "rule" of being a Christian is to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind.

@@howardoller443 Tanner broke the commandment "You shall not murder". He murdered an elderly woman long before he "got religion", with the same kind of weapon used on Adele. So if he was "saved" after the elderly woman's murder, would he have murdered Adele, knowing the scriptures? 🤔 Tanner had a reprobate mind. He got what he deserved.

@@nostalgia6578 Your comments kind of bounce all over the place, so I don't really see your point. You also seem to assume to know the true state of Tanner's heart, which only God can do. Further, not everyone who claims to serve the Lord and have a relationship with Him truly does (see Matthew chapter 7, especially verses 21-23). Lastly, you also seem to be playing God by saying Tanner "got what he deserved". You would be well-served to read God's Word regarding the matter. The Bible says, “You must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you when he judges you. But the person who shows mercy can stand without fear at the judgment” (James 2:13). Jesus says it another way in the Beatitudes: “God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy” (Matthew 5:7).

Nothing more dangerous than a religious fanatic.

Not true. Look at Stalinist Russia and Communist China. Their leaders were/are atheists who have had millions of their own people killed. Your hate and bias are showing.
@nostalgia65782 жыл бұрын
Tanner was delusional and mentally disturbed. "Religious fanatics" are overzealous, not insane. My opinion.

And " religious" doesn't always mean a follower of Jesus.

Who says fanatic? The bad guy had plenty of "scripture " on his side. I'm sure lots of today's Ala Carte Christians won't like it, but this is the kind of hate in their holy book..... like most holy books.
