Boy lots of comments about cigarettes. Let’s face it folks . Everyone smoked in those days . I bet 90. % of people did . Sure it’s not a good plan .... but it was common and Acceptable ... my Mom smoked in the hospital when I was born !! Yes she did 😮 and I made it to 67 ! And so far , so good. Ps We’re chesterfields mild ? Hardly . No filters . Stained your fingers yellow . Good for you ? Never . Just shows how big money can make bad look good . Still going on today ...

I just watched "Unsolved Mysteries" later 1980's and early 1990's. Several episodes had men dating lonely women and ripping them off.

I’m positive they worked for the cigarette company. I still love to listen to these episodes . You most likely would have used them as a sponsor if you will be honest with yourself. It’s all about money. ( survival)
@misskim20585 жыл бұрын
Ya, they smoked nonstop through every episode, and they always make sure to have someone bum a smoke, and someone offer a smoke, someone smoke their own smoke, and usually someone light a smoke for someone else, maybe also mention matches or a lighter if they can, in every episode. It’s really a long smoking ad with a crime story woven in;)

Jonny Carroll Sr. Jello sponsored jack bennys radio shows. Johnson was sponsored fibber Magee and molly. These people have see cigarettes. I still remember cigarette commercials on tv. Dragnet is not unique. Today we still smoke and smoke marijuana. So we are even dumber. Listen to other old time radio shows. Do you say tv shows today who advertise a car or a drug work for ford or GM or big pharma? No. They didn’t work for the company the company gave money to sponsor the show. So what.
@schmim14 жыл бұрын
Jonny Carroll Sr. Watch Barney Miller reruns. They smoke in that. Jack Benny used jello for years and Phil Harris and Alec fay used rexall drug store. So what. That’s the way it was. I don’t know why this is such a big deal. People still smoke today knowing the risks. They didn’t. That makes us dumber

Of course they were paid by cigarette companies. So were the scientists saying smoking was a good thing. Same now with the covid jabs and carbon footprints are evil. All one big long con . . .
