Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :) “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 KJV “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 KJV If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on KZbin and a KZbin channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and he will. God Bless :)

Nick Mottola And the water use was ridiculous. However, in that era there was an ad: "Electricity costs less today you know, than it did many long years ago." That was probably the time of the lowest prices adjusted for inflation. There weren't enough consumers yet to utilize all that could be produced. Hence, the ad campaigns. After all, many parts of the US already had access to low cost gas and an infrastructure to support it. Electricity was sold as cleaner than gas, and it was considered safer because it never blew up a house and you couldn't mess up using an oven or burner, with no matches needed. Gas, though, had been considered a big advance over wood or coal in the home, as in the saying, "Now you're cooking with gas!" It beats electricity for precise cooking because the heat stops when you turn it off, unlike the electric burner that has to cool off. Chefs prefer gas. People who just want to feed the family can make do with electricity. :) And the harried housewife could stick her head in the oven and survive. (Bye, Bye, Birdie illustrated that point with Albert's mother.)
@gregorymalchuk2726 жыл бұрын
@@653j521 I just did some inflation adjusting on electricity prices from 1958. It it came out to 3 cents per kilowatt hour. Modern prices are between 7 to 9 all the way up to 25 cents per kilowatt hour. You are right. The 1950s probably was the era of the lowest electricity prices ever.

At 75 I can remember 1952 when the appliances were affordable and first came out! It was less work for the housewife's but they were still exhausted at the end of the day. Back in the day before all these modern appliances came out, the cloth's were hung in the basement in the winter. In the summer they were hung out to dry! Those were the days when people seemed to bit more happier than today. Our country was not that deep in debt. Americans only used cash to purchase items, and did not use the charge cards, and go in debt!!! People bought things only when they saved up and had the money!! Great video that brings back memories of the 1950's. The young generation today will never know what it was like. Anthony Joseph Lucchese

I do wish we had the prosperity back that we had in past decades. I know everything goes in cycles though... Great Depression, WWII, prosperous 50’s, crash in the 70’s, booming economy in the 80’s, etc.

I never use those tricks because 1) I have too much ego, and 2) I'm still in shock that they work, to this day. Men will happily give you everything they have if you let them think they're smart and impressive and have the answers to your problems. I'm not denigrating them - it's just human nature. Men want to help helpless women the way women want to help helpless animals. It's why women can manipulate men in that way and my cat gets everything he wants.

They used to make these little featurettes for us in lieu of a regular class or when a teacher was sick. We also had dating and etiquette movies... a movie like this was probably used through the 60s. It got to the point the kids would laugh at these because they were so corny, but that's what we had. GE is obviously touting electric apliances, and I find that ironic in these days of rolling blackouts.

@@miniprepper8284 : Thanks, for posting. I figured the captive audience was high-school, something to roll when the substitute teacher had to ride herd! If this were for salesmen, it would've pitted one brand at the other, instead of simpering at all electrics, with a thin teen angst attempting to motor the plot.

I prefer gas ranges and ovens and also now have a gas dryer. I never use the dishwasher. My wife uses it as storage. And it’s actually easier just to clean the dishes by hand. Funny how we go back to things that actually work better

my folks had a GE fridge just like the on in this film. finally got rid of it 6 years ago when fed up with defrosting. My great grandmother bought it new. it was still working when they parted with it.

Oh my gosh this was such an amazing video. I’d pay to watch this in the theaters. I love the aesthetic, the way they talk and how lively everyone seems. Gosh it’s so different. Makes me wish I could live in an era were people talked and dressed like this.

I don’t think my grandparents had an electric refrigerator until 1955. They had an ice box. Electric machines were a big deal and saved women so much time.
