well, it's more important, and better for fans, if wrestlers gave good matches, even if they do look similar, than it is for wrestlers to mix things up for the sake of mixing things up, and match quality to suffer. flair was arguably the best all-around in the world from 1980-ish through like 1993. noone really disputes that, regardless of how he did it. what wrestlers don't have a handful of moves and spots that they do regularily?

well, ok. but you've missed a lot of really good stuff. for all of his complaining about things like patterned natches, ole did the same handful of things in a lot of his matches. all the working a guy's arm and/or shoulder. the short little punches. cutting off the ring in tag team matches. trapping a guy's arm behind his back on bodyslams. but he did all of that very well.
@PB-md3nt10 ай бұрын

Ole is just bitter. He has always been so salty and miserable, and was so overrated in his career. To say Ric wasn't a good worker is just ignorant. The NWA obviously had faith in him, making him champion multiple times during an era where Dusty and Harley Race were top draws. Ole was never World Champion, never even a contender for the title. Flair has always spoken about Ole in a favorable and rrspectful light, regardless of what he did OUTSIDE of the ring. And for the record, Flair has never referred to himself as the greatest, as he always defers that title to someone else.

Ole was right about Hulk Hogan as far as not drawing a dime in the NWA. In Georgia even though it was a work the NWA concentrated more on the wrestling aspect of it and in the WWWF they concentrated more on the entertainment side of it.
