Greta videos Mike, the huge grain carts you drag along, why don't the manufacturers use a truck axle with a differential, this way a hydraulic motor could be installed to the axle. When the going gets sticky simply engage the motor, the chance of getting stuck would be drastically reduced, I know the speed would never match exactly, but you would only engage when you are getting stuck, a bit like the old ground drive we had on the Massey 165 on the family farm.
@Grimskarr4 жыл бұрын
Apparently the tractors' hydraulics are running near or at max already. Nothing left for that option.

We all get stuck sometimes maybe but if would use our heads a liitle more ( why not have a robotic small unit out in front too wet it tells you its easier to pull out) Seed the headlands on a 1/2 loaded grain tank. Seed the higher groung with the loaded grain cart. Take a walk sometimes especoally when " nature calls "a" Send the grain tender with a p/u or atv into those areas to check it out. Yes we ran with extra help. The big units are worth how many $ for production only when they are moving/ producing. The old one way discers where a problem (most y guys dont rember those) 60 ft of disk stuck out could back them up ( one guy cut down the power pole with the chain saw) Call power co and pay the bill after. So why not make the units back up ? Yes i have an affortable easy solution ( more power for hills and mud too)

I suppose you have tried digging a few big holes in those big wet spots and filling them with rocks and gravel to drain them away,is that allowed environmentally.
@fowletm19924 жыл бұрын
That doesn't really help anything The low spot is the low spot Would work if you had a wet area in a drainage area where water was getting caught up But filling the areas with rocks you'll just end up with a rock pool
@nigelclats69704 жыл бұрын
Well,digging a big hole in the middle of a wetspot and filling it with rocks is used as a very effective drainage sump all over the World. I didnt say to cover the area with rocks.

The tracks won't rut the field up near as bad as tires. Most of the time w the tires you would have been thru back there where it looks like that fence started. I couldn't tell too good, might just be a green streak but looked like the fence has a berm across the bottom holding the water there. Couldn't see too good if that's what it was on the video though
