My tip for improving FPS in Genshin is to turn off the WiFi while opening the game and turn it back on after receiving a "no internet connection" notification.

Yup, absolute protip, if you don't do this trick (depending on the patch) the game will keep scanning for the anticheat implementation and unneccesary use up your CPU usage, increasing it from 50% ish to near 100% CPU usage.

@@novaxny8111 both devices have good customizacion since they are literaly handhelds pcs you can do whatever you feel like to, the frying sd was fixed months ago it was just a drivers issue, and battery well it just depends on persons use tbh, i can perfectly have like 4h of use sometimes more just depends on what your doing, its not a hate comment for steam deck, both devices are awesome just depends in persons needs

Sometimes there might be framerate issues with Genshin that can be solved by starting the game with wifi turned off, then turning it back on at the start screen. AWW THANK YOU SO MUCH !! :> and the installation for the 3 games wasn't necessarily difficult, just a bit tedious and time consuming! but after the initial installation, you don't have to do anything else out of the ordinary! ^^ as for the risk of ban, i'd say that there is always a risk of ban xD but a source of mine told me that an hsr staff said that they don't mind it running on steam deck and aren't banning + apparently people aren't getting banned from it anymore? in any case, there's always a risk! so before you do this, i suggest thinking it through xD

my main games are also these games !! xD and all run very very smoothly !! :> i'm actually so happy with the performace TwT genshin and zzz run perfectly, even at high graphics. but as for hsr, unlike genshin and zzz i don't run hsr natively through Steam OS. i run my hsr through the honkers railway launcher, so the it personally looked best with med graphics, 60fps for me! :> ( i suggest looking at the installation tutorials i linked in my description so you know what i'm talking abt) xD

Steam deck is much cheaper and it’s linux which is more stable than windows wrapper for handhelp pc like rog ally and others. Plus, it has touchpads which should be comfortable to use during strategy games like frostpunk or old games like age of mythology

if you only need to play skyrim and use microsoft word, then maybe a dedicated handheld pc like the legion go, msi claw, or rog ally would suit you best !! cause steam deck has more limitations because the native system it runs is steam OS, compared to the others, they run windows directly c: maybe the deciding factor would be which of the three is cheapest! and that depends on your region, so i suggest comparing prices too ^^

See if you get a good deal on the legion go. Also, I recommend the rog ally over the msi claw any day. The legion go would be great for you since you could bring it to classes and take notes on it, the controllers come off and you can get a cheap portable keyboard. You can do it with the rog ally too, but the screen size is smaller. The Ally is more gaming focused, while the legion go would be better for a combination of both

Tbh i already owned a laptop. But if i buy the legion go i would give the laptop to my dad. But the thing is legion go got that big screen and easily can substitute pcs. But msi claw has great designs, ergonomics and speakers. I will think again, since there's no need to rush in life

i would personally recommend the legion go. it's basically like the switch as it has the removable joycons and one of them even turns into a mouse. it runs windows 11 like a regular PC and is 8" in screen size, much like a iPad Mini. all you'd need is a small bluetooth keyboard and you've basically got a computer.
