BT dropped a new video 😁I still have the LCD version. Wish I had the OLED but at this point I'll probably wait a few years to upgrade to the Steam Deck 2. I haven't played my SD all that much. I think it's an age thing and being a dad lol. But it's great on long flights, for sure. Much love, bro!

Great video! I wanted to get the OLED SD, but 70% of my library isn't even on any of the "playable" lists, and while dual booting is an option, I didn't want to mess with it. I ended up going with the Legion GO and love it (so far). I upgraded the SSD to 1tb as I have around 600gb in my portable Retro build, I can play my Gamepass Ultimate games and my full Steam Library. I will keep an eye out for the follow up SD whenever that may come out though, they are great looking devices and its always amazing how well Valve gets things working the way they do.

Mine too, but also 90% of the "supported" games on my list work either fine or require a small bit of tweaking. Stuff that works absolutely perfectly are listed as unsupported for whatever reason haha

The Nintendo Switch OLED is my current rig and the highest quality tech I have ever played games on. Would it be stupid to ditch it and get the SD OLED as my main console? Would love to play PS4 AAA games I missed out on like Elden Ring, RDR 2, LOU, etc.

i have both and let me tell you, you would be getting the best of two worlds, since you would be able to play Nintendo exclusives as they were intended to be played in their original hardware, and on the other hand you can enjoy the entire Steam Library in real Steam hardware that is Linux OS based. Yes, you could technically emulate everything that you could be playing in your Switch Oled inside the Steam Deck Oled, but let me remind you: that comes with a price: compiling shaders, some mods not working in Suyu, some others not working in Ryujinx, so in the end why not playing them in the Switch Oled right? so yeah if you have the money go for both ⚡

Valve makes Steam Deck - FEB 2022.... Valve makes Steam Deck Oled - NOV 2023, thats a little over a year. Valve Index - JUN 2019 WHERE THE F is the new VR HEADSET its allmost 5 years now

Lenovo legion go is better I had both but sold my steam deck oled

Legion Go and Ally is better Mini-gaming laptops while Deck is a better handheld. Deck out performs both the Go and Ally where it counts the most for a wireless handheld device; better performance at lower tdp. I play the majority of PC games around 10 tdp on the Deck at the cost of only 1-3 fps. Also there is good reason why the vast majority of pc handhelds either run on Linux or Android and not Windows. Valve was smart trying to make the most console friendly pc handheld device closer to the Switch than trying to make the most powerful mini-gaming laptop. I think a lot of people want wireless devices to be wireless. I know I do. I'm planning to buy a OLED not just for the screen alone but for 50% more battery life. I do see Ally and Legion Go have their place but for me when price is not the issue I much rather buy the Asus Zenbook S 13 with a 13 inch OLED screen , 32gb of ram, bigger battery and super light.

​@@smidlee7747 battery life of the ally and legion go also suck cause they have more power so it drains the battery more. As a gaming handheld, battery life is important so both of them would fail due to them being stuck on a power cord all the time.
