I recently watched a compilation of Fred Astaire, in which they did indeed name all the the Female partners he was dancing with, including this one with Rita Hayworth. Isn't she fabulous. They don't make Women like this any more. What a great time. Wish I'd been there.

From a very young age she formed a dance partner with her father Eduardo Cansino, a great Spanish flamenco dancer who toured the United States at the beginning of the century. Her name was Margarita Carmen Cansino. I believe that those beginnings were tried to be hidden little by little to launch her as a Hollywood star, not as a dancer.
