The OG Mount & Blade horror mod was so good. You could sacrifice prisoners and eat them to gain eldritch powers, fight evil scientists in steampunk death wheel motorbikes powered by dead souls, and turn into a werewolf. It was like playing a Berserk simulator or something. Unfortunately AFAIK it never got ported to Warband. Dunno if we'll see something similar for Bannerlord either. 😭

I've recently started playing Bannerlord and it is really good. it has toppled warband as my favorite game ever. my favorite thing to do is to smith 100,000 denar swords and go around sucking up all of the wealth in Calradia.

You know, _Mount and Blade_ could be the perfect game to recreate the events of _The Kingdom of Heaven:_ Start as a lowly humble peasant blacksmith in a far of Frankish land unknowingly destined for greatness. Get a bounty on your head for burning the local friar alive (relax its just a prank bro). Accompany your long-lost father and his band of merry merry men. Improve your sword fighting stats and gain XP by killing the sherif's men sent after you. Travel to a port city to join the Crusade, inheriting your father's title because he died of ligma. Survive your ship sinking in a storm and wash ashore as the sole survivor just like in Prince of Persia 2. Ride by horse through the desert and fight off a random encounter (sparing and releasing a man to gain better relation). Arrive in Jerusalem and discover its vibrant culture, diversity, riches, and fanatical tribalism. Build upon your land, raise your family, and have an affair with a baron's wife. One thing about sandbox vs campaign: Doooont start with a campaign! You will probably get very far and then realize you are fucked when practically the world declares war on you Sandbox gives you time to chill and do your thing :)

Bannerlord engine allows for much more moddable potential. It took warband many years to become the mod masterpiece it is today. I genuinely believe that it’s only a matter of time until bannerlord surpasses it :)

@@Br0leg I wish i shared your optimism! Bannerlord takes more effort to mod and the minor updates seem to break everything every couple of weeks. I wager we will only see proper mods in a long long time

@@feluto7172 I reckon those “ minor updates” will end within a year. I feel like they will stop updating the game soon and it will be just modders working on it after. I’m not relying on TW, but I have a lot of trust in the community, even judging by the things that are already out. Bannerlord Online has incredible amount of potential, and Persistent Empires is out and it’s already a more fleshed out version of Persistent World.

Yo br0leg are you going to play Bloodborne? It's basiclly Dark souls, but speed. You destroy furries and give everyone a London treatment and shoot the shit out of everyone (pistol's parry = shield parry). Downside is that you need a PS4 or PS5. Also when are you going to play Company of Heroes? It's a really good Strategie game and is centered around WW2. And you just need a shit ass computer too play this at 30 or 60 FPS
