First off, I wanna dedicate this song to my new found financial freedom, therefore I just paid off my house in full earlier this year at the age of 40 years old, and I'm now rejoicing by way of crying sweet tears of joy. So it looks like I had crossed over those many rivers of financial debt & a lot of other things that was known to hold me back, and for that I've finally found my way over to be at a much greater peace in my life. Thank you Jesus, my prayers have been answered. And all is right in my life.

@@kingnaldo4058 Yeah, me too! I once heard a version that was very upbeat. Like looking forward to each river, Haven't been able to find it again. @@Docinaplane Yup and imagine *Jimmy Cliff* is still performing this song well into his 70's. The man is full of energy. Please watch Jimmy Cliff performance of this song in his movie *"Harder They Come"* an emotional scene, when the struggles of life hits him, without anyone to help him.... The same emotions depicted in *Jason's Lyric* movie 21 years later in 1994.....👍
