I think the media is sensationalizing things a lot. She made her anti-war comments awhile back it seems and she has been in the NL meeting her new colleagues for a week so I doubt it is this sudden spontanious thing. I think she already had plans and the war just brought them forward.

There are a small % of stupid nazists (with no power) in every country of the world and this is a problem that the country can solve by itself, because the world is full of crazy people... but in general, you can't take a small number of crazy people as excuse to bombing hospital, civilians, childrens, schools and houses. They were living very well and russian army destroy their lives, but they don't need "to be free by russia" because they were fre. Anyway, you are really a bad human to desire a magnificent ballerina (and person) like Olga never been born. I would like to cancel people who kill others... and I would like to discover how you can belive in a stupid lie as "we fight nazists" when it's obiouvs Russia want to conquer old territories and expand its richness... it's a economic reason. Firstly, I would like to say congratulations to Alisa Aslanova. She too has come a long way, with a wonderful success with La Personne. I am sure it wasn't easy, and I have no doubt walking away from performing took much introspection. Thank you for this look into Olga Smirnova thoughts from the soul -- a beautiful dancer. A Vaganova dancer where students are taught how movement is the first priority in telling the story -- then comes the inner artistry -- in my view, only with much experience -- the same journey for all top dancers.

Странно что Ольга не осознает что она балерина Мариинки. В последней Жизели в Питере, сама великая сцена ее приняла и давала ей энергию. Насколько она была там органична, настолько же она инопланетянка в Большом. В Мариинке она была бы уже принята балетным миром как новая Анна Павлова.

While this has lovely moments, I think it’s unnecessary and very artificial to film dancers doing anything in regular street clothes, attempting to look “normal,” when it’s obvious that the dancers are simply making up their own choreography as they go along. What exactly IS their “normal”??Nobody knows! So it’s the height of artifice -artificiality-and the dancers always look pointedly self conscious. Then, inevitably, they end up waving their arms around and striking poses without a point, except to say, “I have no idea whom I’m supposed to be, or what I’m doing here, so I’ll just do this, I will gracefully throw my arms around fo awhile.” And that tells us nothing, just one uncomfortable pose and attitude moving into another and another. Just please show them dancing, so at least they know what character to portray.
