She has such a really magical look from head to toe! Her face twinkles even without make up and is aesthetically pleasing in poses that set the head and neck in profile….stunningly beautiful. She has a tiny head which lends itself to a very fine porcelain appearance. Then you get to watch her staccato en pointe foot work that looks so strong! She seems to purposefully place her whole body exactly where she alone wants it! Strength in pseudo-fragility! I think she excels with purpose! You can trust her work because she is ballet in muscle and ligament. I haven’t seen hardly enough to do her Justice! Thank you for so much devotion to an art form!

You can see that the Stanislavsky does not have the resources of the Bolshoi or the Mariinsky. But the dancing still is at a very high level, and the determination to make is so is evident in this documentary. Bravo. Well done by a lovely ballerina.
@TheMumsel6 жыл бұрын
She is the best Moscow ballerina of her generation and thanks god she stays big fish in rather small pond than small fish in Bolshoi. Stanislavsky is warm cosy home for its artists, friendship and no rivalry and reasonably priced tickets. And Stanislavsky has its own devoted audience not the rich tourists at Bolshoi, I adore Oxana and the theater

Great film, but there is a big problem reading the English (or any language) subtitles as their background colour is too light. At parts of the movie, they become unreadable. Other than that, outstanding work, thank you. Also should note that the actual subtitle translations look to have been done by google as they are not very accurate, certainly in English they are not.

This is impossible to watch and I understand if you don’t speak Russian. The subtitles are tiny and often they are disguised by images on the screen that block them. I would love to watch this but I just can’t

@@Novacantnamesofffyou I read the story of a young girl, 21, a ballerina who died in a rare event that she got to be with her family. She had to stay so thin for the ballet that it killed her. She was on a rare trip with her family. When they stopped they found she was dead. She had just sat there and died never making a sound. I worked with a former ballarena. She was beautiful. She had quit. She married and had a baby. She told me she had to have a c-section to have her baby. The reason. Her muscles were so tight from the ballet that she could not deliver her baby normally. I knew a neighbor in Fresno, California who went into ballett. At 14, she had to leave her family and move forever to San Francisco to be in ballet. Sounds like a life I would not be willing to live. Very few professions require so much of an individual. Way too much is required.
