Don't need another headlamp but that magnetic charger is awesome. I wish I had known earlier to buy 5 or more as Christmas gifts but too late for delivery. still ordered one to test in early Jan. What a great carry everywhere minimal edc, hiking etc always have it with you option. Good price too.

the best headlamp I've ever seen has everything the Olight h1 has PLUS. it's the Skilhunt H03 w 1000+ lumens! it also can be found for only $37.10 when you use the discount code. incredible price for the best headlamp I've ever used. if you like the Olight H1 then you will LOVE the Skilhunt H03. it's just the better light.

I bought this for my girlfriend, its awesome. I bought the charger, 1 extra battery and the headlamp for around 70 bucks. Im waiting for my old petzl headlamp to take a crap so Io can get one of these for myself. Unfortunately the petzl refuses to die and Ive had it for over 10 years.

How much does the battery last? what about failures? and the spot light size and shape? the brightness? the beam distance and brightness loss? the colour temperature? Dont get me wrong, i loved the video (im ne w in this channel) and have no complaints about it...any. But it would be nice to see that comparison

I like that you are more relaxed than before, and you are not in a hurry. Your review about the lamp is great, you present the key features of the thing very well. At the time that was posted it was believed, not fond of the rubber head mount design, seems like a good little light, that'ts funny 3 minutes on turbo, it's tiny though. I wish I had one to toy with but I would probably put my money elsewhere after going OCD 3 days to make my decision.

2019/2020 you're probably going to want to go with the Fenix HL60R. Goes to 950 lumens. Is rechargeable via a USB cable. Has a top beam distance of 116m on the highest setting which only last 50 min. but..... 3.5 hours at 400 lumens and 100 hrs at 150 lumens. When it's getting low you can recharge it with a battery pack. Or swap out the rechargeable batteries. Waterproof. It's $75 US or $100 Canadian. You can't go wrong if you want the best. You could even plug the light in perminently using tie wraps to the head band, run the cable into your backpack and have a battery pack in there. Leave it plugged in permanently. A $30 battery pack will keep it running for weeks. Besides I love extra weight in my pack. I am hiking to stay healthy after all....why go light?
@mayen678 жыл бұрын
but in the uk the thrunite th20 is £25 and the olight h1 is £45 so the olight is nearly double the price! plus the thrunite can also take AA batteries.

My coworkers usually make fun of me because I ALWAYS keep an emergency kit in my desk with stuff like a first aid kit, a flash light, matches, water, snacks, etc. Then one day a transformer exploded and our entire building lost power. We were plunged into darkness, and what was REALLY creepy was the silence because the A/C shut down too. They all had to rely on me because I got out my kit, put on my little headlamp and led everybody out with my flashlight! Okay, I didn't save any lives that day, but they would have been roaming around in the pitch black, feeling their way out. I'll never be cool, but I'm always prepared!

dj jayne What was really scary was how fast it got hot and stuffy without central air. We take a lot for granted, living in the city with all our electricity. And most people here don't bother to stock up on the basics so they're so vulnerable so soon after something happens. Money doesn't have much value when there is nothing to buy.

Petzl make headlamps with some features which blow these away; USB rechargeable, more comfortable headstraps, different LED's to suit flood/throw, reactive lighting to adapt light levels to suit the environment, the ability to configure the modes via software etc. They make these look rather basic...

@EpicEverything38 жыл бұрын
dj jayne I have a Nitecore and love it use it as my EDC as well as a headlamp I love the brightness but it is a bit weighty on your head due to the 18650.
@F0XD1E8 жыл бұрын
dj jayne I haven't tried this olite but I do really like my HC30 if the extra weight won't bother you. It's got the over the head band as well so that distributes the weight. HC30 low is 1 lumen so not quite as low as olite 0.3 if you like moonlight modes. HC30 is a better value in my opinion.

Ben, you may have mentioned this previously but is this your own gear or was it given to you by the manufacturers? How independent are you. Have you ever given products that were given to you a bad product review? If so what were the products?

no matter where it comes from I only show it if i use it or recommend it.
@johnmclean59578 жыл бұрын
Hi again Ben. I totally accept what you say. I wonder if some negative reviews with considered opinions may add to your credibility. This would add contrast to the products you really like and would also show that you are independent.
