Got one on the flash sale on release day. I have an S1 Mini and last years S1 Baton as well. I carry the S1 Mini in my gym shorts and the S1R Baton II goes with me in cargo shorts.

Great Review. I am not sure if I am gonna get one. The Olight Reviews never do that well and I don't get them for free yet. And I do own the Baton S1R so I am pretty happy with that.

Cool little light, odd mode spacing though. I've always found a 200-250 lumen medium to be a good sweet spot, I am not accustomed to TIR lenses though.

Only thing stopping me going for this light... The s1 mini looks very similar and has a removable usb charging battery. 600 lumens turbo so no 1000 but it does have a 330 lumen setting that will run for 1 hour... Think I'll be getting me a mini instead. Such a shame about the mode spacing on the S1R II :(

Hold up… I just bought one of these because it advertised it takes the RCR123A. Did I eff up? It hasn’t came in yet.

It will work with the rcr123a but it's better with the rechargeable cell it comes with.

Do you think that a 18350 will work? I have two cells i cant find an edc to use them that i can clip onto my cap lid

No 18350s are too fat. Reylight Dawn is a good choice, as well as others

Hi! You mentioned that it can run on a regular CR123A. Can you comment on how it performs when done so?

No that not something I tested. Typically you get less output

Jon M Sounds good. I was just curious if it worked at all, in the event that something happened to the rechargeable battery and all I had on me temporarily was a regular CR123. Thank you!

The olight propriety batteries only matter if you want to use their charging system. If not you can use a more standard buttonntop

That's way to dangerous of a light. What if it come on in Your pocket or bag it could start a fire.

Most lights will burn thin black foam like this if they are decent power or focus. So far this has not come on in my pocket

You should check out emisar d4. 4000 lumen in a smaller package.
