When did you first join Wynncraft? And do you have a favorite memory?
@hotdog29232 жыл бұрын
I joined around late 2020 so not that long ago but i'd say my favorite memory is finding your channel/watching your vids or meeting a friend that doesnt play wynn anymore and we dont talk anymore so that's a bit Sadge (so i'd say the first one is better). Well, i've met a lot of people/friends on wynn and most of them stopped playing but i'd say he was one of my best friends even tho i dont him irl or even his name.

I joined this game almost 10 years ago at this point. In that time I've played on and off and It has always been refreshing to come back. In that time I've met some people on Wynn who I still consider my closest friends to this day, it has shaped everything I do until now. I'm so glad so many good things are happening to this game as I was worried about the game falling off multiple times. I hope you all have a great time playing Wynn in the future and I cant wait to get back into the game. Also shoutout to Onlinus for keeping up with these amazing videos, props to you man

It's really nice to see how the server used to be, I almost thought maybe I was going crazy at first whenever id revisit the game because I was so confused about how different the cities and game were. Its also strange to see you again as I used to watch your wyyncraft quest guides and advice on how to do things years ago. I started playing in May 2014. I remember spending hours in the Herb Cave trying to level up in that mid 60s range. Then Gavel came out and I was so excited for the quests to help me level up so I didn't have to keep grinding so much. I then took a 6 year break until last week when I started playing again. I thought much of it would feel familiar but logging on for the first time was overwhelming, Ragni alone was so different. And a tunnel between Ragni and Detlas? Man, we used to have to do so much more running back and forth. I think all of the updates have of course made the game more appealing for players, but I did appreciate all the hard work we used to have to put in lol. I'm a level 80 assassin now and I'm trying to get through all of the reworked and new lower level quests so I can continue where I left off. Thank you for making this video, it helped me remember the Wynn I used to know and understand the progression of updates that I missed.

I remember back in 2015-2016, where I made my way to Nemract with a friend of mine and I haven't left that sole spot for over a year. We didn't know about quests, the world map etc. we were just having the time of our life with killing mobs and opening loot chests. Probably the best time I've ever had on Wynn.

@Lendian2 жыл бұрын
I started playing in July of 2014, so many good memories from playing this game, but I do feel sad for never recording any of it as my memory of a lot of things that happened feels very foggy to me now. I remember falling in love very quickly with the server and I would come home from school every day and play Wynncraft. I still remember all the friends I made that came and left, still remember the names of a lot of those players too who I would say, "see you tomorrow," only to never see them again. I remember so many of the quests still, my favorite quest being the House of Twain, to this day that is the most memorable quest I have done and still is my favorite quest. I also remember farming Bob in Ragni for the tears, at one point I had multiple stacks of the tears for no good reason, they were just fun to collect for me. I really miss the old days, but Wynn has come a long way and it's just amazing to see all the progress they have made on the game. This game will always have a special place in my heart.

This is so cool! I’ve only been playing for about a year or two, but updates are always so surreal. I love how the corruption spreads through the updates. I remember logging in one day and being really confused why my heal pots disappeared when I clicked them. Emerald pouches and potion stacks are really nice to have. I think a favorite memory comes from working up the courage to join my first guild a few months ago. Incase you're interested, heres my story Probably the earliest memories of wynncraft that I personally have was with my brother, he still played minecraft back then and so me and him decided to play together on wynncraft, I never really got too far into the game, only making it to around level 15, most of this was because of the pigman cave, a place along the emerald trail which contained level (idk) pigman far higher than the mobs within the emerald train, and so I would abuse arrow storm on each pigman and slowly boost my way up the early levels. However after this both me and my brother would leave the game. When I did eventually return I'm not sure if I made a new class or kept the same class that I had originally, because all I remember when that my original character was an Archer and my new class was also an archer. However regardless this was probably my greatest experience with wynncraft mostly because it was truly my first. Probably my earliest memories were of abusing the skeleton dungeon, it was the predecessor to decrepit sewers and was very different in the past compared to what it is today. Firstly was the fact that it was an open dungeon meaning many people could enter at once and you could enter it infinitely many times without using a dungeon key (I think), many people would enter the skeleton dungeon, but most would get stuck inside the first room, the first room was a prison center with some cells that either had bars covering them and other cells which were open to enter from the main hallway. It took me a long time to figure it out, but the main route involved entering one of the open cells, and doing parkour to get into the roof of the dungeon, from there you could drop down into another cell which was closed off to the main corridor which then let you enter the next area of the dungeon. I don't quite remember the rest as they weren't nearly as memorable as the first room, I think one of them involved a big chasm which required you to throw 2 objects hidden in separate cells, one on the first and one on the 2nd floor to open a gate, but I could be misremembering. Regardless, I remember spamming the skeleton dungeon trying to speedrun it for faster and faster times, before I finally got bored and gave up. After the skeleton dungeon I remember making my way to Detlas to one of the most meta grind spots at the time, and that was the ruins outside of detlas, these ruins still actually exist in the game but they aren't rly known as a good farm spot but back then they were. Back in this time ranged monsters didn't really exist, and so what I would do Is abuse the escape spell to stand on a cobblestone wall and due to enemy AI, the zombies would all gather around the 1.5 tall pillar I was standing on but were unable to attack me. Because of that I could just stand there farming zombies and leveling up. Also around this time I went to nemract to level up, but not to saints row, instead there was this other area just on the outerskirts of the city, there were a bunch of zombies and so if you went to the back of one of the buildings at the window, you could actually shoot the zombies from the window while also avoiding getting hit, this and of course saints row which was a lot easier to farm due to the lack of Terrance turtles screwing you over were my main way of reaching ~30-35. At this point I began wanting to make emeralds, there were many reasons. Firstly it was around this level that you unlocked the quest stable story, here you could buy a horse for 24 EB, the only issue is that back then 24 EB was a massive amount. However even then I didn't just want a brown horse, because over at VIP Village there was a horse merchant that could sell black horses for 1 LE (i think). As I didn't have VIP I would be forced to ask people who did have VIP to buy me the black horse instead, however there was just 1 main issue, and it was the fact that I was broke. And so I began searching online for ways to make EB, and I ran into many methods. However the most important one was the bob's tomb farming. Back then the meta grinding spot from around 45-55 was bobs tomb, It was an absolute hell to enter, because you needed multiple people with a different class to enter the tomb, but most importantly you needed to complete the bobs tomb questline before you could even have a chance at entering. Most notably the bobs tomb questline required you to have a bobs tear which drops from bob's lost soul in ragni, and a full set of depressing gear (spear, bow, wand, shears). There was of course 1 other item which was the rose I think (as the quest itself back then isn't all too different from what it is now). However I didn't bother farming there And so weirdly enough the most meta spot to farm was that pen right outside detlas full of level 1 sheep, I remember myself and many others constantly farming those sheep inorder to collect depressing items, however aside from depressing items you also had a chance of getting pink wool, a ultra rare drop from the sheep which was a collectable worth lots of EB if you were lucky enough to get it. And so that was my main method of getting my EB at the time. Around this time I also tried out the zombie dungeon and it was hard AF, The final boss had an axe and black armor and liked to travel at mach 70 and shredded you no matter what armor you had. I remember dying a lot to him and felt that the dungeon was impossible. Around level 30-35 I went over to almuj to probably the most meta spot in the game and one that doesn't exist in any form what so ever anymore, and that was the deerfish pit. It was a hidden spot that people went to for farming the middle levels and was so good that you could just stay there all the way up until you unlocked the bob's lost soul questline. In short, there was a small pyramid at the back end of almuj with a small entrance, and if you enter it you'd find in the center was a massive pit full of deerfish, as an archer I could just sit there and arrow bomb the deerfish whenever they spawned, there was of course the issue being the fact that every now and then desert spiders would enter the pyramid from behind and knock you into the pit causing you to die, but aside for that it was a really easy way to level up to 40/50. Around this time I also got one of the main set items, in short set items were very different from what they are today, most notably there were only 4 of them, they essentially acted as hidden armors baught at different secret merchants for increasingly higher prices but provided a nice linear way of progression as the armor sets themselves were actually pretty solid. The first set was the green set (now leaflet set) which was more or less in the same place, the second one was the tribal set around level 20 which still exists today. However I opted to skip them as leveling to level 30 was pretty quick, However the level 35 set which was the black set was really solid. You could get there by going up 2 flights of stairs and entering the water fall to the side into a hidden passageway to the Black set merchant. Finally there was the ghost set, within the haunted mansion in nessak. This was by far the hardest set to get because it involved navigating through a building full of monsters that could easily 1 shot you, and it was a pain to get. Also you had to go through it with a shit ton of emeralds to even buy the set, however the set itself was worth it as it could easily carry you to endgame.
@ilect16902 жыл бұрын
After that of course was the snow zombie cave, aside from how absurdly difficult it was to enter, it was by far the best grind spot prior to level 60. I eventually too completed the bobs lost soul questline and because i was forever alone and had no friends I used the only other way to get in, and that was to channel hop until I found a channel where someone was inside, I would then beg them to step on the pressure plate on the inside to let me in, and then when I was inside I'd warp to another channel for an empty cave. It was pretty simple if not a bit of a hassal trying to find a channel with someone nice enough to let me inside, however I eventually found an exploit that allowed me to enter alone. This exploit involved the fact that the 2x3 wall that let you enter snow zombie cave was shockingly enough made of snow, because of this you could actually mine the wall with a spear (which was a vanilla shovel). However of course the block would reappear instantly but not instantly enough. If you mined the wall with a shovel and then threw the shovel at the wall the moment you break, the shovel will cause the wall to not reappear cilent sided, if you do this twice to make a 1x2 hole, even if the wall is there serversided the wall on your client end would not exist. However of course you can't just walk through as it would cause you to get glitched back, and so instead you would just walk right infront of the wall, turn around and then spam escape, and if you do it enough times you will phase through the wall on the other side of the cave. I'm not sure how many other people knew this trick or if it was possibly even a bannable offense, if so I'm sorry wynncraft I didn't know it was bannable please don't ban me. But yeah inside there were massive pillars with you could go onto by using escape after gathering a bunch of zombies below you and then abuse arrow bomb to kill them. I would end up doing this up until around level 60 which is when the most brutal part came, and that was of course jungle farming. Back then there weren't really any good places to get to level 75 (the level cap at the time), as the only endgame place that existed was of course troms, there were of course the trainers in the temple of legends but that questline took long AF, and you also needed to be level 68 or so to even do it. Because of this, massive high level parties would be formed which involved people simply killing jungle slimes, they weren't rly densely packed either so rather then rely on a single person to gather them in a group and kill them we just had a bunch of different people attacking singular slime after slime and use the party XP share to level up. Around this time I also found out yet another exploit which involved the red powder. Back then Powders didn't give you elemental stats as elemental stats didn't exist, instead they gave you enchancements on either your weapon or armor. the most notable one was the green powder which applied sharpness to your weapon or protection to your armor (to this day i'm still not sure if adding sharpness to my bow made it deal any more damage). And also red powder which gave your bow flame. This is important because by abusing the flame tick which made the enemy invulnerable for a split second you can use arrow storm on the same enemy and each arrow that hit the enemy would shadow kill the enemy even if it was physically still alive. Because of this you could get 2x or even 3x the usual amount of experience per kill by using flame arrow storm on enemies a technique which i abused for some time. Unfortunately I would never reach level 75 (or 70, idk if the level cap was expanded yet by then) on my archer, I would later quit the game and more sadly, lose my minecraft account which at this point I had bought VIP on thus losing access to all of my early memories from 2013-2014 wynncraft. It wouldn't be for another year in 2015 that I would eventually return to the game yet again, this time I was on a fresh new minecraft account (the one I still have today), and this time I opted to play Mage. There isn't really too much to say about the game because In the year between when I last played on my archer and my new account on my mage, the game hadn't really changed that much. It was still the same good ol wynncraft from before. However this time I would make my way up beyond the level I reached with my archer, I would eventually get to level 68 and painfully went through every single questline required to enter C.O.W (corrupter of worlds). I had a ethereal as my main weapon and mages weren't particularly good at doing dps so I ended up needing a carry to finish the questline. Finally I could train within the temple of legends at the trainer spot, which I would go on to do so all the way up to level 75. Despite this, I would never do the level 74 reincarnation questline which was of course the quest for the hardest boss in the game, Bob. Even though the Bob's Mythic Wand was the best wand in the game I felt that with how much trouble I had just from C.O.W that doing reincarnation was out of the question, and so I quit.... for 2 years, until 2017. At that point was when gavel officially released, and most notably there were changes to the system, it was an entirely different game, there was a new official wynncraft texture pack and there were suddenly all of these elemental stat thingies that I didn't understand. In a way It sort of the made the game worse imo as back then it wasn't that hard to tell which item was the best for you as you could just check the damage value, or check the defense value of the armor. Now there were elemental stats and builds for different types of elements. This demotivated me, and even though I would explore gavel and reach level 80 on my mage, I would end up quitting the game. I would make many returns after this point, but I never got beyond the level 60 barrier on each of my returns, every update had different meta grind spots as the main grind spots changed as new ones were introduced and old ones were removed, one of the main grind spots that I could recall were corrupted ores, which were for all intents and purposes the new deerfish pit, The spawn density was insane and even though they were only like level 28 or 33, you could easily get to level 40 in just a matter of minutes due to how many mobs there were (its possible that this was actually pre-gavel on my mage but I honestly don't remember). I would also make a brief return following the economy update, however that too was honestly even more of a disappointment. Although crafting sounded like a cool idea I felt that the way it was implemented was wrong, rather then acting as a supplement to the current system it really just acted as an alternative. Most people on their first playthroughs likely won't ever craft a single item from level 1-106 as the crafting system could be entirely skipped, it was mostly for endgame players trying to make items for different builds and it really broke the leveling system due to how absurdly high amounts of XP Bonus you could get to which really sort of undermined the achievement of reaching 105 as people could get from 1-105 in just a matter of hours. Anyways that is my story, feel free to tell me yours because I'm sure theres many other things about old wynncraft that I missed out on

this is the first video i genuinely couldn't get past 3 minutes of, i thought i remembered a lot from my early days of wynn (2013-2015), but seeing all of this stuff, the old tutorial, old detlas. All of these were things i'd long forgotten without realizing, and seeing them again ignites something in me that isn't even nastalgia anymore, its pain. I can't watch any further
