For so long I have wanted to become a KZbinr...Finally built the courage to go out my way and do what I love, but hey where do you start? Thank you bro, you are a legend for creating this! So helpful and this video is so aesthetically pleasing!

You imagine that KZbinrs like Oliur have 20k worth of gear powering their setup, but in reality it's regular Joes making the best of whatever materials are available to them. Shows you that you can can put together a really nice setup by using a few elegant yet inexpensive elements together. 1. art you made yourself in the background 2. Wayfair shelf (I have a similar, two shelf thingy from Wayfair) 3 Fake plant 4. Ikea stool

My favourite part has to be the simplicity of the set up. You use what you have at your disposal, improvise with props where needed without compromising on the quality of the overall output. This allows your love of design and aesthetics, married with your understanding of videography to really shine through. Put simply, it’s a classic case of talent and creativity trumping expensive equipment. Bring on the tutorial videos.

I've been really hoping since you got the A7S III that you'd do some kind of overview of your setup because it's so great, but didn't expect something in this depth! It's fantastic! I'd always thought your audio was good, so I'm definitely going to take some notes from that setup. I actually wanted to throw two things out there for you as I was watching through the video that I've found helpful: * I've got the Ikea trolley for camera gear to sit on as well. It's a great solution, but the thing that really stepped it up for me personally was getting some black non adhesive/rubberized drawer liner. When cut to shape it looks like there's nothing even on each shelf, but makes a big difference when you put gear back on the trolley and it doesn't 'clank', or slide around when you move it. * I too have a Manfrotto video tripod and know the struggles of trying to use a mirrorless style camera on something that's clearly made just for cine style bodies. 6 months ago I got a cheap Neewer QR plate for it, and it's made things SO much easier with taking the camera on and off/not having to mount it with the base plate and camera hanging over the edge.
@Oliur3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! The QR plate is a brilliant idea. I just ordered two. I hate the long plates that come with the manfrotto tripods.

Wow, really love the fact that you're using a Rode VideoMicro. I bought that with my birthday money a couple of years ago to spice up the various film projects I have as a high school student, and I never did get to make my audio sound as crisp and clean as yours do. Probably has something to do with the fact that I shoot videos outside rather than in a controlled environment! Your monitor also got me looking up a mini-HDMI cable, wondering if I can hook my camera to my external display since my camera doesn't have a flip out screen. Not sure if I should go for it, considering my camera's probably about 10 years old already and likely doesn't have any support for that lmao!

" could barely fit a double bed in here ". That's actually promising because I'm currently trying to work on a setup and backdrop and was worried I don't have enough room, but my room might be a similar size or slightly bigger by your description. Also, I like the idea of creating more depth by filming into a corner. Might have to try that.

The mic which you are using now does the job quite well. To be honest, nobody would have thought that, you are using this if you wouldn’t have mentioned. Anyway, since you are gonna upgrade, I would like to know how much of an improvement you are gonna make with your upgrade and also your thoughts. To me, anything spend above 100-150$ on a microphone is not gonna give that much of quality improvement.
