Some Labs are notorious drinkers; I knew 3 that would come up after drinking, sloshed to the gills, dripping wet snouts, and give me sloppy wet kisses for no discernible reason other than I had just changed the water in their giant bowl. What makes this "mini-series" of half a dozen or so sportscasts and glimpses "behind the scenes" so hilarious is Cotter's deadpan delivery sequed into utter canine randomness. Stepping away from Real Life during the virus has allowed us this amazing opportunity to examine literally everything from the outside, looking in. Can't wait to see where this goes as a series! There's A LOT of real life that needs re-examining about right now.

Thank you for your insight. I, too, feel that Mabel is an underrated participant in this story. Her tail says it all. She's keen, she's enthusiastic, she's there. Mr Cotter might have to look at his own work ethic, after all, berating the participant on a public forum is much like a worker complaining about his tools. Role reversal might be a heady bit of filming for the future (now I'm laughing) and also allow us an extra understanding of the difficulties and problems that Mabel is so good at approaching with her joyful face. I'd write to my MP, but I"m in Australia .... don't think they even ...

I was lucky enough to have a wee dug during most of the pandemic but Olive and Mabel helped me cope with her loss. Mr Cotter's books were a godsend to me too as I re-enjoy them today. Funny how such a simple concept of his whimsical first commentary blew so much supportive love to so many millions around the world. Thank You Andrew for doing such a Great Deed.
